27th September 2023 - Our nursery age children enjoyed a session of 🌷🥰

Little Muddy Boots - This week we explored our new garden space.

We planted some daffodil bulbs and then created a rainbow flower pot. We look forward to seeing them bloom🌷

We decorated stones using different coloured pens✍️

This week our older children have been learning 'all about me'

We have been reading stories and creating 'me' 🤩

13th September 2023 - Our first week back after summer to Tot's Praise🥰

12th September 2023 - A wonderful rhyme time session at the local retirement home.

The children had lots of fun reading stories and joining in with familiar rhymes

12th September 2023 - Back to this week after the summer off!

The children had free play to start the session, exploring the mud kitchen and painting on the chalkboard with paintbrushes and water.

Holly handed us each a small bag to collect flowers with different seeds for us to decorate with later.

We had lots of fun walking around the orchard collecting the seeds and eating some of the delicious fruits that had been growing.

Our older ones have been busy learning and exploring🤩

18th July 2023 - Today was our last week for the summer!

This week we went on a walk through the gardens to find some flowers for our flower crowns👑

We also toasted marshmallows and made smores🍪

13th July 2023 - We have done lots of counting too🥰

13th July 2023 - The girls have been focusing lots on their letter formation and spelling😁

The children have shown a huge interest in butterflies so we set up a tray where they could dig out some butterflies in different stages of their life cycle.

They also made their own butterflies using clay, carefully rolling out different sections and then painting their butterflies in lots of different colours 🐛🦋

10th - 14th July 2023

The children all took part in making ice cream this week!

They chopped, poured and waited very patiently for their turns to have a go!🍦

The older children have been busy doing lots of learning and practicing their numbers ✍️

4th July 2023 - This week at we learnt about ladybirds. Holly showed us a 'pupa shell' on a leaf and explained to us the ladybird lifecycle🐞

We went on a walk through the sensory garden to see if we could spot any ladybirds on the leaves or flowers. Can you spot the ladybird on the flower?🌸

To end our session, the children made their own ladybirds by painting a paper plate and stamping some black spots on using a cork🐞🖌️

29th June - MAD Academy🎶

This week we sang hello and warmed up our bodies. We tapped the claves to a beat and practiced rolling a ball to Kate🎶

28th June - Since observing and releasing the butterflies the children have been showing a keen interest in them. This week they have coloured/painted their own butterflies and used a mirror to reflect the other half of the butterfly 🦋🦋

27th June - This week we released our butterflies! The children have enjoyed watching them transform from caterpillars to butterflies and learning about their lifecyles🦋🐛

27th June - This week the children enjoying playing in the garden, pouring water, mixing and baking in the mud kitchen and drawing on the blackboard.

We helped Holly and Karen to harvest some potatoes, we counted 27 small potatoes! Then Holly read us the story of 'supertato' which all the children listened carefully to.

Then we made our own supertatoes and flew them round the garden to find the 'evil peas' 🦸🥔

27th June - The older children had a go a trying hula hooping

23rd June - We went out to a different rhyme time session. The children enjoyed exploring the different sensory toys that were available and making our own fruit kebabs🍓🍎🍇

22nd June - Forest School

We were back in the forest for another session🤩

The children climbed, swung and had lots of giggles with their friends🥰

22nd June - This week we were learning about Rainforest's. The children each made their own trees decorating a toilet roll tube with tissue paper. They carefully wrapped a pipe cleaner around a pencil and turned them into different jungle animals🦋🐍

22nd June - Our older children have been exploring the garden🤩

21st June - Forest School

We climbed, slide and swung our way through the woods. Some of the took an interest in looking for some bugs on the forest floor🌲🪲🐜

20th June - this week we talked about butterflies!

We looked in our 'caccoons' to see if our caterpillars had transformed into butterflies. We tried to balance a butterfly on our fingers.

We took a walk around the sensory garden and tried to spot the butterflies that were on our picture cards.

We went back to the garden and made our own butterflies. We decorated one side of our butterfly first using cork stopper and paint. Then we folder our papers together and pressed down, stamping it onto the other side🦋
