Good to see our local officers taking action to tackle suspected drug-related activity and help keep our communities safe. 👏

Two arrests in Frimley Green

A recent police visit to an address in Frimley Green has resulted in two arrests following the discovery of equipment linked to cannabis cultivation.

Officers attended the address on Monday (10 August), following reports of suspicious activity. While no cannabis was found, the property contained items suspected to be associated with its production.

A 49-year-old man and a 38-year-old woman were arrested on suspicion of cultivating cannabis and have been released on bail while enquiries continue.

Our local officers will continue to act on information about suspected drug-related activity in the community. If you have any information relating to this please contact us by quoting PR/45260096632 via direct message, our website, or by calling 101.

For anyone who didn’t get the results they were hoping for today, please don’t think this means there is no hope. ❤️

Today may feel like a really difficult day, but one setback does not define your future. Sometimes a different path can lead to opportunities and good things you never expected. Be kind to yourself, take a breath, and remember that there is always another chapter to write.

And to those heading off to pastures new — huge congratulations! 🎉👏 Wishing you every success and happiness in whatever comes next. 🌟

NHS England have asked Councillors to pass on the information below, which I hope will be helpful to anyone who needs it.

Deepcut Sang :

Following concerns raised by residents about overflowing bins at Deepcut, I contacted Skanska to raise the issue. Bins on Deepcut that don’t have a QR code fall under Skanska’s responsibility, so it was important to make sure the concerns were passed to the right people.

Today, I decided to take Nala for a walk at the Sang and check the area for myself. I’m delighted to say that everything was looking good and the bins appeared to be well managed. 🐾

I’ve also been reassured by Skanska that they have spoken to their contractor and asked them to maintain the bins at a suitable frequency to prevent them from overflowing. They have confirmed that the frequency of collections will be increased, as the bins have been filling up more quickly than previously.

It’s great to see residents raising issues, action being taken and improvements being made. That’s what local councillors should be about — listening, following up and getting things done for our community.

Thank you to everyone who took the time to flag the issue. Please keep the local issues coming — I’m always happy to raise them and work with the relevant organisations to get them resolved.

A positive result from local police patrols tackling dangerous and illegal e-scooter use in our community. 👮‍♂️👇

Illegal e-scooter seized in Frimley

Officers have been out and about recently hunting down illegal e-scooters and motorbikes being ridden dangerously off road.

This has been particularly flagged as an issue to us in local parks including Frimley Lodge Park, Frimley Green Recreation ground, and Heatherside estate.

On Tuesday, 4 August, PC Hudson was out on patrol when he came across three people riding an e-scooter dangerously in the area around Burrell Road.

The three people made off from PC Hudson. The scooter is currently in police custody.

If this is yours and you would like to explain why you ran from police and left it behind, please contact us so we can have a conversation about The Highway Code, road safety, and what is legal on UK roads.

💧 Hosepipe Ban Comes Into Force – Saturday 25 July 2026 💧

From Saturday 25 July, a Temporary Use Ban (hosepipe ban) comes into effect for our area to help protect local water supplies during the ongoing dry weather. Every drop really does make a difference. 🌿💙

🚫 What you can't do with a hosepipe:
Water your garden, lawn or plants.
Fill paddling pools, swimming pools or hot tubs.
Wash your car, motorbike, caravan or boat.
Clean patios, driveways, paths, decking or walls.
Use a pressure washer connected to the mains water supply.

✅ What you can do:
Water your plants with a watering can or bucket.
Use water collected in a water butt.
Reuse household "grey water" (such as cooled cooking water or water used to rinse fruit and vegetables) on your garden.
Wash your car using a bucket and sponge instead of a hose.

✅ Common exemptions include:
Customers registered on the Priority Services Register who cannot reasonably comply because of a disability or medical condition.
Essential animal welfare, including pets, livestock and fish.
Watering food crops and certain newly planted trees or plants, where permitted.
Some essential business, commercial and health & safety activities. (Exemptions vary depending on your water supplier.)

💙 By making a few small changes, we can all help protect water supplies for our community, wildlife and those who rely on them most.

If you're unsure whether an exemption applies to you, please check with your water supplier for the full guidance.

Thank you for doing your bit! 💧🌱

Frimley Green Rec update :

Many of you know how passionate I am about making Frimley Green Recreation Ground the heart of our community, and I'm pleased to share a positive update on the progress being made.

The refurbishment of the children's playground is well underway, and I'm confident the finished result will exceed expectations. It has the potential to become one of the finest playgrounds in Surrey Heath, providing a fantastic space for local children and families to enjoy for many years to come.

Surrey Heath Borough Council is now consulting with contractors, and two exciting projects will soon be presented for public consultation, giving our community the opportunity to help choose the final designs.

I'm also delighted that the Old Pavilion will soon be brought back into use, with a new tenant set to transform this important community asset into a facility that benefits local residents.

Finally, I'm very pleased to say that the last remaining improvement to the Recreation Ground—something many residents have been asking for—is expected to be completed before the end of the year. This will complete a significant programme of investment, helping to make Frimley Green Recreation Ground a vibrant, welcoming focal point for our community.

I'd like to thank everyone who has supported these improvements and shared their ideas along the way. Your feedback has been invaluable, and I look forward to sharing further updates as these exciting projects continue to take shape.
