At BSL Education, we believe in supporting our local community and helping great ideas become reality.

When we heard about Hannah’s vision for Serenity Ceramics—a space where people can escape the pressures of everyday life and enjoy quality time together—we knew we wanted to help.

At BSL Education, we’re incredibly proud of our Headteacher, Kirsty Burridge for donating £3,000 towards Serenity Ceramics’ new kiln.

When I decided to open Serenity Ceramics, I did it with the intention of helping people escape the chaos of daily life, to just be present in the moment with loved ones and put the worries to one side for a couple of hours. I really feel I'm achieving that by the feedback I get 🥰

Yesterday I put a post up about needing a kiln and that a few customers had suggested a just giving page, and I that.

I am absolutely blown away by the kindness and generosity of Kirsty at BSL Education. Kirsty has donated £3000 towards the kiln, I have some, which just leaves around £1000 to go.

I will take down the justgiving page but from the bottom of my heart, thank you to all of you, and to Kirsty, you are one of life's amazing people.

☀️ That’s a wrap for another fantastic year! ☀️

Today marks the last day for our amazing staff before the summer break.

A huge thank you to our incredible team for your dedication, care and hard work throughout the year.

We're so excited to share that our Headteacher, Kirsty, has been named a finalist for Business Owner of the Year at the Small Business Awards 2026! 🏆

Anyone who knows Kirsty knows just how much heart, hard work and dedication she puts into everything she does.
As our Headteacher, she leads with passion, and is always striving to make a positive difference.

This recognition couldn't be more deserved, and we're all incredibly proud to see her hard work acknowledged.

Giving children the opportunity to make their own choices helps them to:

We are absolutely delighted to announce that we have found a new home for our Forest School at White Annex Woods, just down Leafy Lane on the outskirts of Corsham.

The site includes two stunning woodland areas, a covered base camp with seating for all-weather learning, running water, toilets, dedicated tool storage, and a large fenced grass area for activities and games. Best of all, it is closed to the public, giving our learners a space where they can feel safe, relaxed and fully immersed in nature.

We'll still be visiting Calne Woods and High Penn Lake when needed, but we're incredibly excited about what this new space will bring for our learners.

Our young scientist was busy investigating today!

Using everyday objects, he explored how moving a light source changes the size of a shadow — and their predictions were put to the test.

💡 𝐃𝐢𝐝 𝐲𝐨𝐮 𝐤𝐧𝐨𝐰?

Your shadow is usually longest at sunrise and sunset, but shortest around midday when the sun is highest in the sky.
