Sharing a campus, a community and values mean the move from Prep to Senior school feels easy, familiar and exciting.

And with a path connecting the two schools, the next step really is just a short walk away.

Girls at St Margaret’s can apply in the spring of Year 5 with no 11+ entrance assessment required.

We’re back with a new set of themes for our Baby & Toddler sessions 🧸
 
For children aged 0–4, there’s something new to discover each Friday, with crafts, music and plenty of outdoor play in our Early Years Courtyard.
 
Come along, get to know our Early Years team and let your child play, explore and make new friends in a happy, welcoming space. It’s also a lovely opportunity to connect with other local families, share a cuppa and get to know the St Margaret’s Calne community.
 
Join us every Friday during term time, 9.30–10.30am. Sessions are free to attend, and everyone is welcome.

Sparking creativity every step of the way 🎨

With the guidance of our specialist art teacher, Ms Paroussi, pupils have been busy trying new techniques, working with different mediums and discovering artists who inspire them.

From Upper Nursery through to Year 6, every year brings exciting opportunities to create, explore and develop new skills. From Chinese dragons to Quentin Blake-inspired illustrations, we love seeing pupils bring their own ideas and personalities to every masterpiece.

The creativity doesn’t stop at the end of the school day. Our Young Artists Club gives pupils even more opportunities to pick up a paintbrush and let their imaginations run free.
We’re incredibly proud of the wonderful artwork our pupils have created this year. 🎨

Art encourages self-expression, builds confidence and resilience, and gives pupils the freedom to experiment and learn from every brushstroke.

A summer full of adventures ☀️

Sunshine in the early years courtyard, outer-space adventures through sensory play and plenty of giggles with friends. There’s always something happening in St Margaret’s Nursery.

Our youngest learners have had lots of opportunities to explore, discover and enjoy their time together over the summer. 🚀

What a summer it’s been at Active Camps. We’ve been cooling off in the onsite pool, racing down the slip and slide and getting stuck into go-karting and team games.
 
There’s been plenty of time to get creative too, with arts and crafts, as well as lots of chances to try something new and enjoy time with friends.
 
For ages 5–12, Active Camps run from 8.15am–6pm, giving families a little extra flexibility during the holidays.

A year exploring languages and culture 🌍
 
Our pupils have embraced every opportunity to develop their language skills this year. From joyful French in Upper Nursery and language games in Year 3 to French cheese tasting in Year 5 and Spanish in Year 6, each lesson brings something new.
 
At St Margaret’s Calne, languages start at age three, with weekly lessons led by Madame Colesby. Pupils enjoy learning new words and phrases while building confidence, strengthening their listening and developing their recall and problem-solving skills.
 
There’s plenty of opportunity to explore the cultures behind the languages too. This year, pupils have discovered different celebrations, tried new foods and learnt about traditions from around the world.
 
It’s wonderful to see their curiosity grow as they become more confident in exploring different languages, cultures and perspectives.

Another fantastic set of LAMDA results.

We're delighted to celebrate another year of success, with 100% achieving a Merit or Distinction in their LAMDA examinations.

From Grade 1 to Grade 3 in Acting and Verse & Prose, it's been wonderful to see their confidence, creativity and performance skills grow throughout the year.

LAMDA gives our pupils the opportunity to develop valuable lifelong skills, from confident communication to public speaking, preparing them for every stage of their journey.

A huge thank you to our LAMDA teacher, Mrs Shah, whose encouragement and expertise have supported every pupil throughout their journey. Congratulations to everyone on such a brilliant achievement.
