Where could a Calne education take her?

Among the wide range of subjects our 2026 Leavers are heading on to study, are Medicine, Zoology, Data Science and Biomolecular Engineering.

At St Mary’s Calne, an all-girls’ education gives pupils the confidence to challenge expectations and pursue opportunities without limits.

According to the Girls’ Schools Association, pupils in all-girls’ Sixth Forms are 86% more likely to study Maths at A Level and twice as likely to apply for physical and biological sciences at university.

🌱 A special achievement for Grow Club
 
Congratulations to our Grow Club on receiving the prestigious RHS School Gardening Level 3 Award
 
Mrs Moylan, who leads Grow Club, is “immensely proud” of what the group has achieved over the past year and how much their gardening knowledge has grown. They’ve shown real enthusiasm and dedication.
 
With more than 100 co-curricular clubs at Calne, there are so many opportunities for girls to make friends and discover new interests. There really is something for everyone.

For our Sixth Form boarders, it’s a great mix of opportunity and downtime.
 
Whether it’s a Futures lecture, a sporting fixture or simply enjoying time with friends in the boarding houses, weekends at Calne offer something for everyone.

A brilliant start to the lacrosse season 🥍

The Bath Eights tournament brought together more than 600 lacrosse players for the traditional opening event of the UK season, with two of only three school teams in the competition proudly representing St Mary’s Calne.

Our U18As battled their way to an impressive runner-up finish, while our U18Bs made every game a contest against some tough opposition.

More than the results, it was brilliant to see the courage and Calne spirit shown by every player, with tournament providing an incredible opportunity to test their skills.

The season is off to a flying start. 💙
