Little Stars Childminding Passionate about childcare. Welcome to Little Stars led by Elizabeth Cohen and Abi Howell.

We are both highly experienced early years teachers and have children of our own. We have a shared vision to create a nurturing and engaging environment where we provide children with the knowledge and skills needed to learn and grow. We promote interaction, communication and social skills; we love to see children developing their sense of curiosity as well as physically and creatively. We support learning and teach children to reach their next steps, all while providing a safe, warm, exciting and friendly atmosphere with a splash of sparkle.

"Sunny days and laughter in my sky, dancing feet, a song to sing. Every little moment feels like its made for me. It's the simple joys that lift me high."

"It seems to me that the natural world is the greatest source of excitement; the greatest source of visual beauty, the greatest source of intellectual interest. It is the greatest source of so much in life that makes life worth living."

"At the bottom of my garden...
There's a baby daddy longlegs
And an easy going snail,
And a family of woodlice -
All are on my nature trail.
There are caterpillars waiting
For their time to come to fly,
There are worms turning the earth over
As ladybirds fly by."

(Benjamin Zephaniah)

"When I went out
The sun was hot,
It shone upon
My flowerpot.

And there I saw
A spike of green
That no one else
Had ever seen!

On other days
The things I see
Are mostly old
Except for me.

But this green spike
So new and small
Had never yet
Been seen at all!"

(Barbara Baker)

"Cold fingers,
Cold toes,
Pink sky,
Pink nose.
Hard ground,
Bare trees,
Branches crack,
Puddles freeze.
Frost white,
Sun red,
Warm room,
Warm bed."

(Shirley Hughes)
