✏️ Today we welcomed our Nursery and Reception parents and carers to our Early Writing Information Session.

It was fantastic to share how we support children as they develop the skills needed for writing, from building strong gross and fine motor skills to becoming confident, independent writers.

Thank you to everyone who attended and engaged so positively with the session. We hope the ideas, activities and resources will help you support your child's writing journey at home. We value working in partnership with families and look forward to seeing our youngest learners continue to flourish as writers!

📚 Today we welcomed parents and carers from Years 2-6 to our Accelerated Reader information session. It was fantastic to see families joining us to learn more about how Accelerated Reader supports children in developing confidence, fluency and a love of reading.

Reading at home remains one of the most powerful ways to support children's learning. Just 20 minutes of reading each day can make a huge difference to vocabulary, comprehension and overall academic success. ❤️📖

A fantastic evening at the Tiny Tots Ltd School Showcase 🌟

We were delighted to attend this evening’s event, which was a wonderful opportunity to meet with prospective families, connect with other local schools, share ideas and celebrate the exciting journey children take as they prepare for primary school.

It was also a brilliant opportunity to showcase our fantastic school and the wonderful provision we offer in our Early Years Foundation Stage. We’re incredibly proud of the experiences, opportunities and foundations for learning that we provide for our youngest children as they begin their school journey.

This afternoon, the children from Reception through to Year 6 were treated to a live, highly energetic stage adaptation of Alice in Wonderland. M and M Theatrical Productions brought the classic storybook characters to life with vibrant costumes, music and audience participation. The children loved laughing, clapping and cheering along. What was your child's favourite part?
Year 6 were lucky enough to take part in a Q&A session afterwards where they found out more about the casts' roles.

Today we sadly say goodbye to the wonderful Mrs Spurr who has worked at CPS for over 12 years. She will be incredibly missed but we wish her well on her next adventure. She would like to say how touched she has been with all the kind words, messages and gifts from all the CPS staff children and families. She truly appreciates them and wishes everyone all the best ❤️

An Daras is excited to be hosting an Early Excellence mixed‑age roadshow at Callington at the end of this half term. It’s a fantastic opportunity for our teachers to explore new ideas, share approaches and strengthen their practice. Giving staff this dedicated time to reflect and get inspired helps us keep our school offer current, ambitious and engaging for all our children. Investing in our teachers is one of the best ways we continue to grow as a community.
