Last week, we welcomed some of our Reception 2026 starters into school for a Forest School session.

The children enjoyed exploring our Forest School area and taking part in a range of outdoor activities. It was also a wonderful opportunity to start building relationships with their new classmates and staff ahead of joining us next year.

We loved seeing their enthusiasm and can't wait to welcome them back in September.

📚 This month, each of our Year 1/2 classes enjoyed a visit to Callington Library.

The children discovered some surprising library facts during a True or False quiz, took part in Library Bingo, followed a trail to find hidden pictures around the library and finished with a story. They also had time to browse and enjoy the wonderful selection of books.

A huge thank you to the team at Callington Library for such a fun and engaging visit that has inspired a love of reading! 📖✨

Wow! What a fantastic final performance. Our Year 6 children have wowed the audience with their final performance of Finding Nemo. The children were FABULOUS and we are very proud of each and every one of them. A massive thank you to everyone who helped put this production on.....we truly appreciate your hard work and dedication. The children are off to Woodlands tomorrow to celebrate!

Nursery’s current focus book is ‘The Train Ride’ and the story came alive for them last week when Will Smith the GWR steam train driver visited the children to talk about his exciting job. He talked with the children and we saw videos of a stream trains. We we used our brio track to make our own railway and then we went outside to build our own steam train. We learnt to shovel coal into the fire to give the steam going. Lots of the children told Will how they’d love to work on a train/be a train when they grown up. Thank you William for visiting our nursery setting.

The football fever continued today with the thrilling final of our CPS World Cup!
In a tense and closely contested match, England and Argentina finished level at 0–0, meaning the trophy would be decided by a nail-biting penalty shootout. The fans were on the edge of their seats!
Every player showed courage, skill and outstanding sportsmanship throughout the game, making it a fantastic way to round off an incredible tournament.
Congratulations to our CPS World Cup champions – England! Perhaps a good omen for what's to come? 👀🏆
A huge well done to everyone who took part and helped make the tournament such a success. Proud to be part of the best team.
