Bernera School pupils launch the crisp packet and coffee recycling project at the
local shop in Bernera this week. Following a school project on the environment, we decided to start a recycling campaign for crisp packets and coffee pods as they are difficult to recycle. Working with Sgoil Uig and Laxdale Primary School bins will be delivered to local businesses and organisations.
Keep an eye out for our bins!!! Don't forget to save your crisp packets and coffee pods!!!!

Fab crafty skills day with Sgoil Uig yesterday. We made awesome Christmas decorations using pinecones, gingerbread and biscuits which we had fun decorating and candles with Halbert Candles and crafts

November's skills day was all about inherited characteristics and forensics! P1-3 created Reebop bugs as they were learning about inherited characteristics.
P4-7 had a crime scene with clues and a crime to solve. We dressed in our forensic boiler suits to stop us contaminating the crime scene and worked in teams, using the clues to solve the crime. The teams were divided as to who the culprit was as there were so many similarities. We learnt that you need to go back over your evidence over and over again in case you missed anything the first time. It was great fun!!! Sgoil Uig
