When you have to teach for the evening and your phone keeps going buzzzzz buzzzz buzzzz....

WE DID IT! 🎉

Our children WILL be getting their new play equipment, and we are just so thankful to staff, parents, children, and everyone who has sponsored this incredible fundraiser.

All of us here at Ffrindiau'r Ffin are so emotional tonight, and we just love the way this challenge united the entire community as we walked the border.

We look forward to revealing the total miles walked as soon as they are collated when the staff and children return to school...

Thank you so much for your support - the fundraiser will remain open this week for any final sponsorship money to be added. We also have the Crazy Hair Day money to add, so we will share the final total raised with you later on the week!

WOW!!!

We are halfway through the Border Challenge and we have raised an amazing £1160 so far!

👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏

The children have all completed 5 miles each in school this week (check out the Ysgol Y Ffin Twitter feed to see how awesome they have been!) and they will now be doing another 5 each at home over half term so that each class has walked the border between Wales and England... even the teachers are getting involved, but there are less of them so they have to do around 20 miles each to meet their target!

Good luck everyone!! And please do sponser us so that we can raised the £2500 we need to purchase the play equipment that the children so desperately want - and deserve ❤

Today I stand down as chair of Ysgol y Ffin, I don't need to say how special this school community is after all the Twitter activity this week! 🏉🙌 I shall miss it hugely, it's been the most rewarding experience & I thank everyone for their support, you're amazing team of staff, parents, governors, friends and most importantly the children! Good luck with the exciting times ahead 🙏
