Jennies childminding Caistor Jennie's childminding provides a safe and homely environment where your children can learn and grow.

At Jennie`s Childminding we offer childcare for children from birth to 14 years old. We offer a home for home childcare setting where we encourage children to feel comfortable and become part of the family. We work closely as a team with myself and my two assistants, Andy Wright my husband for after school care and my mum, Michelle Smith who often is here to play. At present I am in the process of

doing a BA Honours in Early Childhood with the open university to broader my knowledge. Within our setting we plan a range of activities for the children include a range of arts and crafts from the traditional painting, drawing and colouring to needlecraft, sticking and gluing. And not forgetting crafting activities such as pottery painting, hamma beads and stain glass(plastic) painting. Baking is always a hit with the children making cookies, cupcakes, flapjacks and other treats for snack times and to take home. Outdoor there is a range of physical pursuits such as swings, climbing ropes, slide and trampoline, or more relaxing activities such as adventure playhouse, water table, sandpit and even a large chalk board to express the creative side. During the warmer seasons the garden creates opportunity to plant and grow a variety of plants, fruits and vegetables, plenty of visits to garden centres to investigate and play and of course a snack in the café when needed. Outings planned to local attractions such as Rand Farm, Normandy Hall, Willingham Woods, Fun Forest and many more.

The Office for Product Safety and Standards has issued a new safety alert following child fatalities in the UK and overseas.

The alert relates to pillows or cushions designed for babies to sleep on or be placed on unsupervised. Parents and carers are urged not to use these products for babies under 12 months, or place them in a cot or crib.
