We have been lucky enough to have a donation of fruit from Newtown Food Surplus. This time the children did an amazing job using cutting skills and we wanted the children to be able explore how different fruits tasted in a relaxed environment with no pressure. We gave it a thumbs up 👍 or 👎.This activity opened up lots of other learning such as counting, using Welsh, talking turns and using descriptive words. Anything that was left over the children got to take home.

What a busy week we have had. An invitation to play for world bee day, picking up on some of the children’s schematic interests. Making pasta with the children showing some brilliant cutting skills. Planting some beans in the garden, also checking how our flowers seeds we planted a couple of weeks ago are growing. We even managed to have our lunch outside.

After our visit to the butchers the children were keen to visit the park. We did not have time the same day so we returned the following week as soon as we could. The children had a brilliant time, but also learning so much. We counted things,talked about how to walk safely and looked at how high the big slide.
Did you know that a group of volunteers do weekly checks on the park to ensure your visit is an enjoyable one. The equipment is checked and they even remove rubbish that is left. We would like to say a big thank to this amazing group 👏 they are always looking for new volunteers please get in touch is you think this could be you.

Over the last couple of months we have been celebrating Bonfire night by making breadstick sparklers, Children in Need by wearing our pyjamas and Christmas activities - making party hats, decorating our Christmas tree and using our ICT skills on the Interactive Whiteboard.
