Beacon Climbing Centre The largest indoor climbing centre in North Wales. Our users are aged 2-90 and our climbing is suitab It is suitable for all ages and all abilities.

Roped climbing between 10m and 17m high, low-level bouldering with Kilter board and mini-gym, and if that isn't enough there's a kids play area plus CrazyClimb with 15+ awesome climbing challenges for children! Beacon Climbing Centre is the largest indoor climbing venue in North Wales and one of the UK's biggest and finest. It’s a brilliant all-weather venue for regular users seeking an engaging f

itness activity or for one-off visits if you’re just exploring the area, and instruction can be booked via our website. More new roped walls were added in 2021, giving around 70 lines, a huge number of routes of all grades, and a special group and rope skills area. Plenty of space, free parking and a proper cafe with comfy seats and views too! Kids parties and catering available. Bookable rooms for events, meetings and classes.

We’re looking for enthusiastic volunteers to help as belayers and judges at the YCS Climbing Competition on 5th (Routes) and 6th (Boulder) September.

Whether you can support us for one day or the whole weekend, your help will make a huge difference. It’s a brilliant opportunity to support young climbers, contribute to the competition, and be help support a vital part of the BMC calendar.

Our staff are very knowledgeable and happy to help you make decisions. Even if it is just to provide information on shoe purchasing in general because if we dont have it V12 Outdoor definitely will!

Our setters are always trying their utmost to give you the best climbs, but we need your help to find what is the right grade for everyone!
The system will be upgraded as it develops, but for now; find the clipboard, climb the route and give us your honest opinion!
The grade tags will be added at the end of each setting week, using the average grade voted for by you.

Main Hall Temporary Closure.

The Main Hall will be temporarily closed this Thursday, 11th June, from 8am until around 5pm.

This is to install a brand-new fan and fix the current skylight, which should dramatically improve conditions during the hot summer months! ☀️💨

All other areas are open as normal, and the Main Hall will re-open as soon as the installation is completed. Thanks for your understanding! 🙏
