I’m so fed up with turning up on a Monday morning to petty vandalism. This happened between 2pm yesterday and this morning.

This morning I came in to Forest School to find some people had decided to trash it - presumably over the weekend. These were certainly not young children as the damage caused wouldn’t have been possible.

This is so upsetting. It took me a long time to make it safe for the children first thing. Please chat to your older children about respecting the spaces they use. As the weather warms up this is something I’ll have to deal with most weeks and it’s pretty demoralising.

Imbolc celebrations at Forest school today, creating earth candles and nature art. Whatever the season, we’re out in nature and these guys make the most of every minute!

I don’t always post Forest school pictures to the grid (the fabulous usually puts all her amazing photos on hers) because the sessions are full at the moment. But this is not just a space for advertising. It’s about sharing the absolute joy of forest school. The community. The diversity of activities and play that I see every week really deserve to be shared in some way. This wonderful group of children and their parents have become an absolutely vital part of my week. I miss them when they can’t come or when we don’t have a session. I love watching them grow, change, develop friendships and solve problems. I’ll be forever happy that this is the random path my life found itself on.

It was a chilly one but so great to be at forest school today! We used Sloes cooked up over the fire to create some awesome tie dye creations. Feel so lucky to have such an amazing group of humans to spend my Monday morning with!

A truly lovely end to this terms forest school sessions. A spooky theme, with apple carving to make bird feeders for our feathered friends. Spooky potions in the witches kitchen, lots of orange flowers for hapa zome. So much fun with the wonderful group of humans!
