Earlier this week, our students had an absolutely amazing day in London! 🏙️🎶

The adventure began at the world-famous Pineapple Dance Studio where students took part in an exciting workshop led by two former Hamilton performers ⭐⭐. They learned choreography to the iconic My Shot 🎤🎵 and threw themselves into the experience with enthusiasm and energy! 🔥👏

After refuelling with a delicious lunch at Pizza Express it was time for the main event... a matinee performance of the sensational Hamilton in the West End! 🎭🌟🎶

From dancing and performing to experiencing one of the world's most celebrated musicals, our students embraced every moment and had an unforgettable day filled with creativity, confidence and inspiration. 💫❤️

A huge thank you to everyone who helped make this fantastic opportunity possible. 🙌✨

🇩🇰🇬🇧 Celebrating 10 Years of Friendship!
For the past two weeks, we have been delighted to welcome our Danish visitors back to Buxton Community School as part of a partnership that has now been running for over 10 years.
Our 20 Year 9 and Year 10 buddies have been fantastic ambassadors, welcoming students into lessons, taking part in a High Peak Sports Day, enjoying a social afternoon, and finishing the visit with a brilliant Prom at the Palace Hotel.
We're incredibly proud of the friendships made, memories created, and the way our students represented our school throughout the exchange.
Thank you to our Danish friends for another wonderful visit. We can't wait to do it all again next year! 🇩🇰❤️🇬🇧

🌍📍 Year 13 A Level Geographers have had a fantastic few days in North Wales, investigating coastal processes, regeneration in former slate mining villages, and measuring carbon storage in trees and peat moorland.

Highlights have included making friends with frogs on the moorland 🐸 and celebrating Lauren's 18th birthday today! 🎂🎉

One final hydrology fieldwork day tomorrow before heading home. We’re incredibly proud of the enthusiasm and effort shown by everyone throughout the trip.

📢 Head of Key Stage Information Evenings
📅 Tuesday 15 September

Parents and carers have all been invited to a short information session with your child’s Head of Key Stage and we really hope you can attend.

Talks will last around 30 minutes and will cover key dates, important events and expectations for the year ahead.
