We are looking for support staff for some of our UK DofE expeditions later this summer (June/July).
You would need to be aged 18 years or over, happy to be outdoors of course, and ideally a keen walker. There are specific dates that we would need people to work which can be provided when you get in touch.
We will need to do a DBS check and can provide a First aid course if required.

Are you, or anyone you know, interested in finding out more about working in the outdoor industry? We run an outdoor company based in the Peak District and the majority of our work is in delivering DofE expeditions around the UK.
Most of our instructors work on a freelance basis, and can therefore manage their own time and commitments. Many just work weekends to supplement their income, or some work full time over the summer to free up their winters for other adventures!
You might just want a chat to find out what is involved, or maybe you'd like to shadow a course to see what it's all about? You might even think you have enough experience to work as an instructor and love the great outdoors but don't have any official qualifications...whatever your situation, we're happy to have a chat.

It was so great to be running our first Map Quest for nearly 2 years in Glossop yesterday with 130 young people! Despite the rain it was great to see everyone enjoying themselves and learning how to use maps - well done to the Horned Screamers from Buxworth who won the event and everyone else who took part! It's also great to be back working with High Peak School & Sport Partnership :)

High Peak Scouting have groups across the region in Buxton, Whaley Bridge, Chinley, Chapel and Hayfield. They are currently looking for more volunteers to help out with the various groups - in any capacity! Some of the groups can't restart as they don't have enough leaders.
If you would like to get involved in some way and help to support the huge range of activities offered to local young people aged 5+ they would love to hear from you!

There are 8 scouting groups in the High Peak District and each group offers Beavers, Cubs and Scouts. There are also several Explorer units within the district so there is bound to be a group or unit close by which you can join.
