Thank you to anyone that has stumbled on this page and liked it recently. I haven't been posting my art because I have been having a break from it.
I shut down my studio in Vernon Mill last November. This took a great deal of time and energy and it was sad to say goodbye to my students. At that time we were in the early stages of selling our house and buying a new one - with an outbuilding that was to be my studio. The purchase didn't happen as unfortunately the house needed far more work than we thought. But we pressed on with selling our house, and sorted out 25 years of stuff and moved to a small flat.
So I and my husband are presently living in temporary accommodation with my art and materials in storage with the rest of our furniture. I am enjoying the views from our windows as we look out onto the River Sett that flows under our converted mill building, and at the trees.
There will be a new chapter of art soon. The weather is improving so I can get out to sketch. There may also be a move to a new house coming, with a new studio as well...but I don't want to jinx it, so I'm not saying anymore just yet!
