We had the absolute delight of meeting these bundles of joy earlier today 🥰☺️ when we visited to implant their microchips, and get them registered on a national database.

They are all adorable with fantastic personalities we also met Mum and Dad too who equally have good natures. ❤️

Our August "Star ⭐ Patient of the Month" goes to Shadow.

A gentle giant who is an absolute sweetheart 🥰
He comes in, leans in for a cuddle and then turns round and lays down ready, "asking" for his K-Laser therapy prior to his Hydrotherapy session.

Cathy Peak District Canine Massage and Hydrotherapy recommended our services, to help compliment his pain management plan for his arthritis and hindlimb weakness. During our assessment we found he had discomfort in his hips, along his back muscles and shoulders from compensating.

He is on antiinflammatories and has been having Hydrotherapy to improve and maintain his gait. We added in KLaser and his weight distribution has improved to now within normal limits.

Although Osteoarthritis is a degenerative condition...getting the diagnosis doesn't mean it's the end of the road...it purely means "there needs to be a change in direction"

We work closely with Cathy District Therapies, his vets and his fabulous owners, to help give Shadow the best life.
Pain control must always be centre focus and making modifications to his exercise regime, home & lifestyle adaptations and the introduction of a multi-modal management plan, gives him that zest for life.

KLaser therapy has a positive impact on soft tissue injuries and muscle compensatory issues secondary to joint conditions/ligament or tendon issues.

Olly is a whirlwind...the best definition would be "a tornado of happiness" 🤭 he is so excited to see us he chatters away staffie style, and doesn't know what to do with himself, an absolute wriggle bum...it's fair to say we don't have any problems keeping the K-Laser handpiece moving! 🤣

We are treating Olly for Cranial Cruciate Ligament (CCL) disease - he has had surgery on both stifles in recent years and has been doing incredibly well.
But earlier this month, he started indicating some discomfort in his right hind leg, a revisit to his orthopaedic surgeon for a review, and subsequently a referral to us for KLaser Therapy, to reduce inflammation and pain.

Today we visited Olly to give him his second LASER treatment, and a short while later we receive this video. 💙

❌ MYTH: "My dog is just slowing down because of old age-they don't need prescription pain relief."

We are all enjoying this extended Summer with visits to the beach or walks up on the moors.....BUT this also means that during these warm Summer 🌞 days.....Snakes are out basking in sun.

There has been some increased reports of Adder bites in recent weeks.... would you know what to do??

Adders are the only venomous snake native to the UK. If disturbed (sniffed or trodden on) they can give a nasty bite.

Prompt Veterinary care must be obtained without delay so antivenom can be given.
Keep them calm, prevent movement and call the vet on your way.

Prevention: keep dogs on leads when walking on coastal paths, moorland and grassy areas.
