I know Halloween hasn't even passed yet but I'm already deep into Christmas planning! Keep an eye on socials next week for information about my Christmas specials. I'm planning 1 in Buxton and 1 in New Mills in December.

I'm also planning my spring term which is due to start in January! Christmas can be so busy and sometimes hectic so it's nice to have something to look forward to in the new year. All to be revealed soon! If you want to be the first to know about January classes then please register your interest now and you'll get to pick your classes before they go live for general sale!

Yesterday, we explored the canal from Whaley Bridge to Buxworth and had a wonderful morning! I've lived in Buxton 5 years and cannot believe it's taken so long to go and have a walk around there. We found the fairies hanging from trees and saw so many canal boats. I can highly recommend a wonderful walk. ❤️

I've been suffering with my voice this week. I've had a perpetual sore throat and feeling a bit run down. I think just about everyone has had a sniffle this week! I give thanks to all of the families who have sung extra loud to make up for it! 🤣
Getting outside has been so helpful. It's cold but so beautiful and being amongst nature always gives me a boost. Even for 10 minutes, try to get out and find something in nature to make you smile. You won't regret it.

Did you know that there's a free family event on 23rd October at The Buxton Crescent Heritage Trust (I may have mentioned it a few times...!) To make this event amazing, we need a bit of help! After all, what is a book swap without any books?! Good quality children's books can be placed in this box in the library or the pump room! Also accepted at my classes! ❤️ They will then be displayed at the family event for a lovely read and swap. You are also more than welcome to bring books on the day. There is SO much planned so put it it your diary! Organised by the wonderful Frances from PlanetBuxton .

I am incredibly excited to be back again this year! This event was so much fun last year, it was busy all day with children reading books with me and playing music together. This year, I'm going one better. A book swap! In the pump room and library, there are boxes to welcome unwanted dress up costumes, books and recycling to help the day go with a bang!

Good quality books for babies and children of primary school ages are warmly welcomed for our lovely book swap. ❤️

Rhyme time at Buxton library has turned into something I never dared dream could happen! Week on week, it's busy with lots of smiling faces. I've been thinking for the last few weeks that I'd like to add a play element, too. So that's what's going to happen!

From next week, we'll have our regular rhyme time session from 10am and then after this, we'll play until 11! But we need help! We have a few puzzles and games already but need a few more toys to keep all of our lovely children occupied. If you have any toys/games that you've been looking to donate them please think of us! ❤️

I'm looking forward to staying and playing next week!

👶Do you have a baby under 6 months? The next 5 week term of Sing and Sign Babes starts in November in New Mills and Buxton and I cannot wait to meet you! Come and join a music class with a difference!
💜A special 5 week term of age appropriate music, songs, signs, props, and games developed with speech and language therapists to tap into early communication and understand what it means.
🧡Classes are small and intimate, filled with fun, laughter, cuddles, and bonding. (And biscuits!)
💛At the end of term you will have a few key signs to use with your baby as well as games and activities to help with their development as they get older and set you up in good stead for Stage 1, if you choose to carry on.
📱A class WhatsApp group for support and advice.

Have you heard about the FREE family event on 23rd October in the assembly rooms in Buxton?!

As well as the usual Sing and Sign magic, I am also organising a book swap for children's books. There will be boxes to donate your good quality children's books at the pump room and the library. I can also collect them from my classes. You can still also swap on the day! It will be wonderful to share some stories with your children on the day as well as playing music together.

Here's some other things you can declutter:

Transition Buxton CIC want material and clothes to make up-cycled Halloweencostumes with your children.
Babbling Vagabonds Storytelling Theatre want your old magazines for young people to design and make ecozines (mini collage magazines about looking after nature and our planet)
