P1 have been enjoying their phonics, literacy and numeracy lessons! They have been learning new sounds and taking part in lots of fun activities to consolidate their learning. They have also been sequencing nursery rhymes! 🎶 In numeracy, they have been practising their number formation, ordering numbers to 5, exploring 2D shapes and creating patterns. It’s been a busy few weeks! 🌟👏

🐿️ Red Squirrel Visit! 🌲

This morning we were delighted to be joined by Daniel from the Glens Red Squirrel Group. Daniel taught us all about our native red squirrels, their habitats and the important ways we can help to protect them.

The children really enjoyed learning about these fascinating little animals and how we can all play our part in looking after them! ❤️🐿️

In Mrs Ramage’s class the children have been continuing the topic- People Who Help Us.

We have enjoyed lots of play and sensory exploration around our topic, both inside and outside. Our bucket time activities are still a firm favourite- the messier the better! We’ve also been noticing signs of the seasons changing, with lots of lovely discussions about what we can see around us.

Some children have enjoyed enrolling in swimming sessions while the others have had a brilliant time at Treasure Island! We are a busy bunch!

We celebrated gymnastics and rugby success in assembly this morning!! A massive well done!!☺️🌟 👏
