A big shout out to our Science Department following some exceptional GCSE results - 80% of grades were 9-7 in Physics, 73% in Chemistry and 68% in Biology. Yesterday Kyle collected his grades that included grade 9 in Chemistry and Physics, with a grade 8 in Biology.

From the classroom to our annual STEM Week, we are passionate about giving pupils opportunities to see where science can take them and to discover that the possibilities are much bigger than the next exam.

Head of Science, Calvin Browne, said “I am absolutely delighted with our GCSE Science results and so proud of our pupils and the progress they have made. Their hard work, resilience and commitment have truly paid off, and they should be incredibly proud of what they have achieved".

If you missed our STEM Week story back in March, take a look at some of the highlights on the Stories page of the website, link in bio

When the stats only tell you half the story, we will always want to look beyond the numbers to the pupils who have worked so hard to get here.

Because progress doesn’t always look the same, and success certainly doesn’t come in one shape or size. Behind every grade is a pupil who has been supported, encouraged and challenged by a community of teachers, friends and family. We are proud not only of what our pupils have achieved, but of how far so many of them have come.

This is what value added really means to us: knowing our pupils well, understanding where they started and helping them discover just how far they can go.

Today, we celebrate every result, every journey and every success. Year 11, you have made us incredibly proud. What a privilege it has been to be part of your journey - and what exciting things lie ahead for you all.

Dear Year 11,
Tomorrow, it will be your turn to follow in the footsteps of your Year 13 counterparts and make that journey back into School for exam results.

No doubt there’ll be some nerves along the way, but we just want you all to know that we’ll be right beside you - ready to celebrate with you, guide you through next steps, and remind you just how awesome you are. For now, take a breath and enjoy this last evening before GCSE Results Day.

We can’t wait to see you all tomorrow.

Alongside yesterday’s A-Level celebrations, we are incredibly proud of the achievements of our students in the Extended Project Qualification (EPQ).

The EPQ is far more than an additional qualification. It challenges students to think independently, manage a substantial research project, evaluate sources critically and communicate their ideas with confidence - skills that will serve them well far beyond Sixth Form.

This year, 15 students completed and submitted an EPQ, exploring a wide range of topics driven by their own interests and ambitions. We are delighted that 93% of grades were awarded at A* - B, an outstanding outcome and a real reflection of the curiosity, commitment and academic maturity shown by this group.

Behind each project is a student who chose to go further: to ask bigger questions, pursue a personal passion and produce work of genuine depth and quality.

Congratulations to all of our EPQ students on these exceptional results - a fantastic achievement and a wonderful complement to yesterday’s wider Sixth Form success.

After the emotional highs of this morning, there is much to be said for looking behind the stats at the human stories that make up those numbers.

Whether the envelope contained a clean sweep of A*s, or a hard-fought clutch of A, B and C grades earned through determination and persistence, every set of results represents a different journey. For some students, today confirms a long-held ambition; for others, it opens a door they had not previously considered.

What makes us proud is not simply the grades themselves, but the individuality of the young people who achieved them. Every journey has been different, and every destination will be too.

Today is not just about results; it is about futures beginning to take shape. And that is something worth celebrating.

Congratulations class of 2026!
Today we come together to celebrate a fantastic set of A-Level results, with 61% of all grades awarded at A*- B, and 16 students achieving an outstanding clean sweep combination of A* - B grades.

Already, most students have secured places at their first-choice university, with further confirmations still expected over the coming days.

These results represent far more than numbers. They reflect two years of ambition, perseverance and hard work, supported by dedicated staff, supportive families and a strong school community.

Today we are celebrating every student, every achievement and every next step - whether that leads to university, an apprenticeship, employment or another exciting opportunity. We are incredibly proud of this year group and cannot wait to see what they go on to achieve next.

Well done to all our students on your A-Level results – your futures are looking very bright indeed!
