A huge congratulations to our year 5/6 footballers who have won the Bury League Cup! This is the first time since Kieran Trippier attended HB! A massive achievement and we are so proud! Can we raise £20.26 in 2026? 🏃‍♂️💨

Our PTA is officially launching the £20.26 Challenge! We’re on a mission to get our playground gym equipment back in action, and we need our amazing students to help lead the way.

Whether it’s washing the car, a sponsored silence (parents, you’re welcome! 😉), or a bake sale, every penny counts toward our goal.

🏆 THE BIG PRIZE: The class that raises the most money wins a Cinema Afternoon at school!

• Deadline: Please return all funds by Thursday, 2nd April 2026.

• The Goal: £20.26 per child (but any amount is appreciated!)

We had two winners in their field events. Out of 70 children, Rocco won the triple jump and Bernice won the long jump! Incredible!

Huge congratulations to these 11 boys! Made it through their 1/4 final 2 weeks ago vs Unsworth winning 6-0 with a brace and motm from Theo and this evening faced Bury Grammar in the semis. It was a much closer game tonight but a brilliant clean sheet and fantastic strike by Jaiden was enough. 1-0 and a spot in the final next Thursday vs Tottington! Well done to all 11 boys. Thank you to Mr Bradshaw and Mr Crawshaw for your continued support of all our amazing footballers.

Thank you Woodhey High School for hosting the second Year 3 transition morning this year where the children took part as engineers. It was a fantastic experience and such a creative way to introduce younger pupils to high school life. The activities were engaging, hands-on and really exciting for the children, helping them feel confident and welcome in a high school setting. Opportunities like this are a great way to reduce anxiety and build positive feelings about the next stage of their education. The staff and students were brilliant and the morning was thoroughly enjoyed by everyone.

Well I walked into that one! Working with Holcombe Brook Primary School students, choreographing a dance with hands balancing like scales…….I didn’t think that one through did I?! Immediately met with cries of “6-7!” 😂🤦‍♀️🤦‍♀️

We are delighted to have been awarded a Music Mark of Recognition for our dedication and improvement in Music Education. Bury Music service nominated us for this award. As a school we offer a wealth of musical opportunities including Rock Steady Band, Bury Music Service lessons and opportunities for the whole classes to learn an instrument with a trained professional from Bury Music Service. We also hold an annual music concert and regularly have opportunities for the children to perform in class assemblies. In the New Year there will be a KS2 choir on Monday lunchtimes in the portakabin from 12.55 to 1.20.
