A lot of families have been saying their children are enjoying "The Stick Song" from Hey Duggie at home. After the children became very excited after we played the song at nursery too, we then extended this idea to develop not only our social skills by dancing in groups but our creative skills too! Lots of activities have been taking place from this initial interest 🥰
This could be you 🥰
Congratulations Mr and Mrs Turner ❤️

The Pre-school children at Little Holcombe had an amazing time at the farm on Friday...the sun was shining and a great time was had by all.
The learning continues this week in Pre-school with lots of fun activities planned, linking to our experience on Friday.
A massive thank you to all our wonderful staff- it was very well organised as usual 😀
Here is just a snapshot of our day- more photos to follow on Tapestry xx
This time it was Tweenies at Tower View's turn to visit Smithills Farm. They all had an amazing day and were so well behaved. We had some warm and very sleepy children, however they had so much fun and experienced lots of new things 🥰
What a fantastic day the Pre-school children from Tower View had at Smithills Farm today. The weather was kind to them, and the children were really well behaved 🥰 Think the children, and staff will sleep well tonight. Thank you to our amazing team who ran the day so smoothly and made it such a wonderful experience 🐑🦙🐤
It is 'Sunflower Day' at Little Holcombe and the sun is shining ☀️🌻

Our thoughts are with Joanne's family at this very sad time ❤️
❤️JOANNE KELLY
We are very sorry to share the news that our Dumers Lane Kindergarten team member Joanne Kelly died in hospital yesterday.
Our thoughts are with Joanne’s family, her partner Chris, daughter Mia and her mum and dad and siblings - and also her close friends at nursery. It’s so very sad.
Everyone at nursery will miss Joanne hugely. She was a vibrant personality, loved by everyone - her colleagues, the children and their families. Joanne was utterly dedicated to our youngest children in nursery. Joanne was always singing and chatting to the babies in her care, she was always to be found with a group of babies surrounding her.
She was an incredible nursery nurse and a wonderful person. She will be hugely missed and mourned by us all. ❤️
We are sharing the link to the fund raising page for Joanne’s daughter Mia - you’ll see it has been updated by Joanne’s family and Joanne’s partner Chris has asked that people leave their memories of Joanne on the page ❤️

It’s that time of year again when mini eggs are lining the supermarket shelves. But, did you know that, just like grapes, they are the perfect size to block a small child’s airway and choke them? And, their hard shell can make it difficult to dislodge with standard first aid techniques.
With whole grapes we advise cutting them in half lengthways and ideally into quarters to create thin strips. But chopping up mini eggs isn’t as easy. So, what can you do?
1. Hide them from the children and eat them yourself – good luck with that!
2. Put the mini eggs into a sealable plastic bag and smash them into small pieces with a rolling pin. Or, crush them in a pestle and mortar.
3. Opt for a different treat. Larger, hollow eggs are much safer for little ones.
