Our nursery offers a warm, friendly and safe environment where carers attend to your child's whole learning experience - making relationships and understanding the world through their senses, language, music, movement and good nutrition - in order to enhance your child's natural development. Conkers, crunchy leaves and the first properly cold morning. 🍂

Autumn is one of the best seasons in a nursery. The world changes visibly week by week, and for little ones that's endlessly fascinating.... collecting leaves, noticing the darker evenings, watching things they planted in summer come to an end.

We'll be making the most of every bit of it at Dream Big Little One over the coming weeks. Wellies at the ready. 💛

Threading beads. Using tweezers. Squeezing playdough. Picking up the tiniest piece of pasta with two fingers.

These activities might look like play, and they absolutely are, but they're also building the small hand muscles and control that children will need for holding a pencil, doing up buttons and using cutlery.

Fine motor development doesn't happen by accident. At Dream Big Little One, it's built into activities across every room, every single day. 💛

Zipping up a coat. Washing hands without being asked. Putting shoes on the right feet (most of the time) 👟

These small moments of independence are some of the biggest milestones in early childhood, and at Dream Big Little One, we build them into everyday life. Not by doing things for children, but by giving them the time, encouragement and patience to have a go themselves.

It takes longer. It's messier. And it's absolutely worth it... because that growing confidence is what carries them into school and beyond 💛

Government-funded childcare is available for eligible children from 9 months old and Dream Big Little One is an approved provider. That means your little one could be with us for funded sessions, giving them all the benefits of our nursery without the full cost.

At Dream Big Little One, we work closely with families through this milestone, because consistency between home and nursery makes all the difference. Our team follows parents' lead, sticks to the approach that's working at home, and makes sure little ones feel supported and confident every step of the way.
