Always a good background sighting on train pics from Burrs - complete with the orange thing:

RESIDENT MAROON LIVERIED WESTERN DIESEL HYDRAULIC D1041 "WESTERN PRINCE" WAS RENUMBERED AS LONG LOST D1074 "WESTERN STATESMAN" TO WORK DURING THE EAST LANCS RAILWAY DIESEL GALA ON 17/06/95 , IN THIS VIEW IN OVERCAST CONDITIONS THE WESTERN IS PASSING BURRS WHILST WORKING 1445 EX BURY SERVICE.

Our school spotted in the distance - I believe the building has (once again) been condemned, and is to be demolished - shame or harrah, you decide!
