Had a lovely day at Marton Primary Academy today - despite the snowy journey to Blackpool! A Group of 35 children from 5 different schools took part in our AIM High Writers’Workshop. Thanks to Authors Abroad and our host school.

It has been so good to get back into visiting schools for Writing Workshops lately! Yesterday was Queens Park Preston followed by Peel Park Primary today. It has been a pleasure to work with the children and accompanying staff!

Good trip to Chester yesterday ( in the rain!) for a More Able Writing Workshop at Newton Primary School with Year 5/6 children. Lovely group from seven different schools!

Lots Of Laughs On The Way

I'm so pleased and proud to have joined the fabulous team of authors and illustrators at Ventorros Press. This is an exciting and innovatiive company who publish both fiction and poetry books for children. It's still early days but I'm looking forward to working with an illustrator on my first book for them, which is called ... Ah, sorry - it's under wraps at the moment! However, I can promise you that there are lots of laughs on the way!

Virtual Visits

Teachers can still bring an aurhor into their classrooms!

I'm offering lively and interactive ZOOM sessions to primary schools. Children can remain in their safe classroom environment for a 45 minute ZOOM session, followed by questions and answers. There is also an optional 30 minute Follow-up session in which we share ideas and plan a story.
Two schools virtually visited this last week! Great fun!
