Members of our Muslim community are marking the birth of the Prophet Muhammad during Eid Miladul Nabi. In Bury it is marked by a procession, on Sunday 8 October following prayers in the afternoon. The procession starts from the Islamic Centre, Church Street, 2.30pm and will include hot and cold refreshments. It celebrates communities coming together to raise awareness of Islam and tackle Islamophobia, and discussions about living in a multifaith, multicultural society. People of all faiths and no faith are invited to take part.
