A truly historic day for the Aberdeen Angus breed. 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿

We were delighted to be at Ballindalloch Castle for the 150 Years and Beyond celebrations, marking an incredible milestone in the history of the Aberdeen Angus breed.

A particularly special moment was meeting His Majesty King Charles III present to reveal the commemorative 150 Years Herd Book, celebrating 150 years of pedigree Aberdeen Angus cattle.

It was a privilege for Buckhurst Aberdeen Angus to be part of such a significant occasion and to celebrate alongside breeders and enthusiasts from across the UK and beyond.

150 years of history, generations of breeding and a future full of opportunity.

☀️ A great day out at the Lancashire Show and one we’re really proud of.

🏆 Buckhurst Lady Heather B384 was awarded Reserve Aberdeen Angus Champion after coming second in her class to the Champion!

We had a great time catching up with friends and to the organisers and judges for a fantastic show. Congratulations to all the other exhibitors—we’re already looking forward to the Great Yorkshire Show next week!

A wonderful visit to Montana Ranch 🇺🇸

A huge thank you for the warm welcome and generous hospitality. It was great to spend time together, see your outstanding cattle and stunning ranch!

(Yellow/Purple route) If you are coming from the M62/M60 follow M66 Northbound and exit at junction 1. bear left onto Walmersley Road and turn left at the next set of traffic lights onto Walmersley Old Road. Follow up onto Bentley Lane, under the motorway bridge and continue straight on for 1 mile until you arrive into the yard.

(Red/Purple route) If you are coming from the north follow A56 southbound and come off at the Edenfield roundabout. Take second exit and turn right onto Whalley Road. Follow south until you pass over the M66 onto Walmersley Road. Turn left at the next set of traffic lights onto Walmersley Old Road. Follow up onto Bentley Lane, under the motorway bridge and continue straight on for 1 mile until you arrive into the yard.
