💛 Brookhaven School proudly wore yellow to support YoungMinds and raise awareness of the importance of mental wellbeing. We understand that every student's mental health matters, and together we raised an amazing £151 for Hello Yellow. Thank you to everyone who took part and helped make a difference. 💛

📣 Brookhaven Is Recruiting! – Teaching Assistant Positions
Brookhaven is excited to welcome dedicated Teaching Assistants to join our specialist school team.
We are recruiting for SEND teaching assistant roles supporting our SEND pupils in our specialist school. Working under the guidance of teaching staff, you will help deliver learning, care and support programmes, enabling pupils to access learning and contributing to a positive, well-managed classroom environment.

We’re looking for candidates who can demonstrate:
⭐ Minimum NVQ Level 2 (or equivalent) in Teaching Assistance
⭐ Some experience working with children with SEND
⭐ The ability to work effectively within a team and understand classroom roles and responsibilities
⭐ A positive ethos and the ability to role model positive attributes
⭐ Strong interpersonal, numeracy and literacy skills
⭐ An understanding of Safeguarding procedures and a commitment to promoting the welfare and safety of children

🌱 Making a positive difference in our local community! 🌱

Our students have been out litter picking and gardening, supporting efforts to keep our local area clean, welcoming and beautiful. As a specialist school, accessing the community and playing an active role within it is a vital part of our students' development. These opportunities help build confidence, independence and important life skills, while encouraging a sense of pride and responsibility for the world around them.
