I LOVE music and want to share the joy that it gives me with as many people as possible! Since starting my own journey from the age of 5, I've learnt that learning an instrument, singing and just enjoying music can be beneficial to young and old alike. As someone who greatly admired Dolly Parton, its been a sad week, but its lovely seeing her music celebrated by young and old.

September is my favourite month as its concert time! An opportunity for the amazing musicians here at Dots to share the amazing things they've been working towards over the year.

Two amazing events next month at Bolton Road Methodist Church:
WEDNESDAY 16TH SEPTEMBER - The Fabulous Harmony Belles will be performing songs feom the 20th century; Bonnie Tyler - Billy Joel! Just £5 on the door.

SATURDAY 19TH SEPTEMBER - Students of all ages will be performing a wide range of music to celebrate all that they've achieved this year in their lessons. It's just £3 and will be a brilliant event. Please come and support local talent in our community!

I LOVE ❤️ a character song - lots of fun to be had - but they can often be tough numbers to get to grips with. This fabulous number is one of my favourites and I'm giving it a bit of a practice to maybe perform again!

I am a big fan of the "Phillip Keveran" arrangement books. Great for intermediate and advanced students to pick up for pleasure - and teachers like me who can't let the Disney go!

Its really good to record yourself playing/singing to give yourself some feedback. I usually try and get a good view of my hands but went with front facing today. I need someone to teach me a better performing face!
