🌟 Fun Spelling Strategies That Make Learning Stick! 🌟

Recently, I have had several parents query how they can help their children with spellings.

Fact - I don't agree with spelling tests in school.
Fact - Spelling doesn't have to mean endless word lists and rote memorisation.
Fact - Children learn best when spelling is engaging, creative, and multi-sensory. By using a variety of strategies, we help learners develop confidence, recognise patterns, and become independent writers.

At Hearts & Minds Education, I believe that making learning enjoyable builds confidence and helps every child become a successful reader and writer. 💙

In todays session we did a lot of work on segmenting and blending. We read a favourite book 'Five Minutes Peace' and had a go at reading some simple sentences. My little learner was very proud of herself at the end of the session 😊
