COMMUNITY KINDNESS AT ITS BEST
Just 4 weeks ago, our lovely EYFS classroom was unfortunately flooded.
Within hours we had created a makeshift classroom in our school hall, determined to keep things as normal as possible for our little Acorns. We then reached out to our school community, asking for help to get our children back into the classroom they love. To everyone who offered their time and skills, thank you.
The amazing Gemma Isherwood and her brother, Alvin, came to our rescue. Alvin didn’t hesitate. He came into school as soon as he could and, through the kindness of his heart, offered to repair everything that had been damaged.
The very next day, his team from DSC Group BM Ltd, were on site repairing pipework, boxing in, decorating, lifting the water damaged carpets and replacing them. Every single job was completed with such care, professionalism and generosity! The least we could do was keep the brews flowing and the biscuit tin topped up!
Throughout the whole process, Alvin and his team were incredible with our children too. They took the time to chat, answer endless questions and let the children watch the transformation happen!
We are now so excited to begin moving all of our furniture back into the classroom before the summer holidays, ready to create another wonderful learning environment for September.
From the bottom of our hearts, thank you Alvin, Gemma and the whole team. Your kindness, generosity and community spirit have meant more than we can ever put into words. You have helped us give our children their special classroom back, and for that we will be forever grateful.
