FRC x KÔR Pilates 🧘‍♀️

What a fantastic start to our birthday weekend!

A huge thank you to Trin and KÔR Pilates, who this morning led a class for 13 members of the FRC. If you enjoyed it or are looking to get into Pilates, head over to KÔR’s Instagram page!

I think we’re all in agreement that it was much tougher than expected, but thoroughly enjoyed it and are already looking forward to doing something like this again!

We then had a few more join us for our post Pilates 5KM, making for a very enjoyable morning.

Thanks to everyone who joined us. Looking forward to seeing even more of you tomorrow! 🖤

To Our FRC Community 🖤

Ahead of the FRC’s first birthday, the run club team wanted to take a moment to show our appreciation for our community.

We started this run club to give as many people as possible the opportunity to start their Sundays positively, get out, run and meet new people.

With your support, we’ve been able to do so much more than that. We’ve introduced midweek runs, supported each other at races, started a second location in Bury St Edmunds and built a community that continues to grow.

It truly wouldn’t be possible without your support.

It’s been amazing to see the journeys some of you have been on, from running for the first time, returning from injuries, being able to run in the dark when you joined us for our midweek runs, and even running throughout pregnancy.

So, from us to you, thank you so much.

Bring on year two! 🖤

Fortify Five ### 🖤

The FRC’s birthday Fortify Five, and where better to celebrate than Sudbury, where it all started.

Our 52nd organised run sees us return to Toast to take on the same route as our very first run from Toast almost a year ago.

We want as many of you down there as possible and we want everyone in their Fortify or black tops. Plenty of celebrations are planned, including our raffle, as we look back on what’s been an incredible first year of Fortify Run Club.

Even if you’re not looking to run, it would be great to have you join us and help make this a huge celebration of what we’ve built together.

FRC x H&R Sports Performance 🏃🏼

At Fortify Run Club, we strive to provide our community with the best opportunities to better yourselves, whether that’s on a Sunday morning or when you’re looking to overcome an injury.

So, we thought we’d remind you that we’re in collaboration with H&R Sports Performance, who focus on sports injuries, injury prevention, recovery and maintenance.

So if you’re looking to get booked in, our FRC members can use code FORTIFYFIVE when booking with Paige or Archie for a discount.

We also wanted to highlight that Millie, who’s recently joined the H&R team, is currently offering appointments for £25 throughout September.

H&R have also been kind enough to support our birthday weekend, with a free appointment up for grabs in our raffle this Sunday 👀

Another way we’re looking to support our community, both on and off the road 🖤

FRC x KOR Pilates 🖤

Our final details are here for Saturday’s Pilates x 5KM as part of our birthday weekend!

Pilates starts at 9:00AM at The Fort, with just 3 spaces remaining. The 45-minute session led by pilatesbytrinity is designed to get you warmed up and ready for the 5KM. Spaces are £5 each, with the booking link in our bio.

If you have a mat, please bring it with you. If not, we should have some available at the gym.

The 5KM will start around 10:00AM, starting and finishing at The Fort, and we’ll be taking on the route from our very first run almost a year ago.

The 5KM is open to everyone, so you don’t need to take part in Pilates to join us.

We’ve already shared a poll in the WhatsApp community to get an idea of numbers, so if you’re thinking of joining us, let us know!

See you Saturday 🖤

Run Club Success: Steve, Adam & BT 🏃🏼

From the SVP50 to the SVP100…

The final Run Club Success to come from the SVP100, and this one features three members of the run club team.

What started as unfinished business last year, with Steve and BT missing out on finishing the SVP50 in 2024 and wanting to redeem themselves, finished with the three of us completing 102.5km in 2026.

Last year, after Adam had just finished his first half marathon, BT and Steve called upon him to join them on their second attempt at the SVP50. As you’ll probably all know by now, it was those early morning Sunday trail runs between the three of them that kickstarted the idea of Fortify Run Club. We completed the 50km in 8 hours and decided that apparently wasn’t quite enough, so entered for the SVP100.

A year and plenty of ‘time on feet’ later, the boys completed the SVP100, but it certainly wasn’t straightforward.

BT went into the race having not trained properly for 7 weeks due to achilles issues. On the day, it was his other hamstring that plagued him, likely trying to compensate, but he still managed to get it done.

For Adam, a knee injury that started playing up just 10 days before race day caused nothing but issues, leaving him unable to fully extend his leg and relying on painkillers to get through.

Steve had moments where he didn’t think he had it in him to finish, but after 15 hours, the boys crossed the line together.

The team couldn’t be more appreciative of the support on the day, from the teams at the aid stations genuinely getting us through the race to the emotional scenes at the Mill Hotel.

It truly felt full circle to be supported by the community on the trail that the whole idea came from.

A huge thank you to you all. We couldn’t have done it without you 🖤
