Probability: tree diagrams & bit of fraction work explained 🙌

Using multi link to physically visualise it helped the tutee today 💪🤩

"That's just the way it's done" only goes so far, physically seeing it worked out or being able to see the logistics behind some of the maths really helps understand and make sense of it - and sometimes the sillier the better to help you remember too 🤪

Equipment at the ready, back to tutoring this week after half term!

We are moving onto Numbers with our year 10s! Angles work with my GCSE Maths resit tutee!

My go-to equipment on the workstation is:
☆ Pencil & Pens
☆ Calculator for when our brains are a bit switched off and wanting to focus on the steps to follow rather than being hindered by the mental maths fog
☆ Multiplication pop it is great for helping with timetables and having the pop it element to help settle, regulate, and fidget if needed.
☆ Multilink was supposed to be for helping visualise things. However, has also proven to be a great fidget also!
☆ Highlighters again as another visual aid to help seperate sections of an equation to solve.

We still have space on Tuesdays 4:30-5:30 year 10 higher group, if interested please drop me a dm ASAP to join us.
