Lightning and Hurricane's really made the most of the activities themed around the book, including Hurricane's themed stay and play session!

🍊🍌🍏Healthy Eating Week 🍅🍍🍓

The next part of our Healthy Eating Week involved a lot of teeth!

Each room spent time looking at dental hygiene and brushing off all the germs. This helps the children to learn about the importance of brushing their teeth, and keeping a healthy smile.

All children were also offered a toothbrush, tooth paste and tracking chart for their age group, thanks to donations from local businesses!

🍊🍌🍏Healthy Eating Week 🍅🍍🍓

As part of our Healthy Eating Week last week, we had lots of special activities to promote healthy living and eating. This all kicked off with a visit from Super Star Sport!

Each room had their own 30 minute session tailored to their needs and the kids loved it! Lightning and Hurricanes stayed inside for their activities, while Tornados and Typhoons got a run around in our big garden while the weather was slightly cooler.

We've been playing with light and colour in our rooms, with the Tornados creating their own den and Lightning exploring shapes.

Light and dark play helps create a relaxing environment for the children. developing their sense of curiosity through colour, texture and sight.

We're excited that our own sensory area is in progress and will be available for all rooms to use within the next few months. This means more sensory play with two separate areas for light and dark play, and a calming space for those with sensory needs.

Yesterday was Families Day at Royal Air Force Honington and all four rooms got the chance to head over and have a look around. The wagons helped the younger children get to the event and kept them all together, whilst Pre-School were on their best behaviour and held on to their links for the whole time they were out.

The children's top moments included the petting zoo, the cars, and seeing the planes fly over ✈️ But the biggest splash with our Pre-Schoolers were, of course, the rubber ducks 🦆

Our garden is looking a little bit brighter, after the planting our pre-schoolers did last week! 🌸🌷

Being out in nature is so important for the children, and learning about how plants grow and the wildlife around them - including the bees 🐝 and most importantly, they loved it!

On Saturday, our Pre-Schoolers celebrated their graduation! 🎓

There were photo opportunities, activities for the children, and a buffet with biscuits made by our very own deputy manager! It was great to see so many families join us on the day and celebrate all their achievements together.

The children had their own cap and gown ceremony, including certificates, speeches and lots of tears! We are so proud of our pre-schoolers and look forward to sending them off on their new adventures in the coming weeks.

Congratulations again, class of 2026! 🎓🎉🎈
