Dear staff, parents, friends, ex-colleagues and ex-pupils

Having studied the weather forecast for the last three days and nights, I have made the difficult and sad decision to cancel West Fest. This was our chance for a big thank you and goodbye; it is such a shame that the weather has beaten us.

We will be sending parents further information later today advising of some fun plans for the pupils during tomorrow afternoon (in school time), so they can still have a lovely time now that West Fest has been cancelled.

As Westley Middle School comes closer to saying farewell, all of us on the PTA would like to say a fond farewell.

It's been an honour and privilege to raise money for the school and we would like to share with you a newsletter that highlights some of our achievements. None of these would be possible without the support of all the Westley families and staff. Thank you!

WESTFEST

We look forward to seeing all those who have booked their tickets for the Westfest this Friday 14 July. No paper tickets have been issued - however names will be on the gate for those who have ordered. Sorry to say that Westfest is now FULL and unfortunately, we don't have the capacity to take any further bookings.

As most of you all know, Westley Middle School will be closing its doors at the end of the summer term 2023.

In true Westley style we couldn't go without a bang. We are therefore inviting you to WEST FEST which is being held on FRIDAY 14 JULY 2023 from 5PM until 8.30PM to celebrate and share memories.

Westley won the area Dynamos Cricket competition yesterday afternoon with a fantastic all round team performance. They now qualify for the County Finals on Monday 19th June ✨

Special shoutout to our very own Laura Houlder who has received two awards (Year 2022 and 2023) from Young Writers.

Her first poem has been published in the book, Winter Wonderland Frosty Delights.

The second poem will be published this summer.

What a FANTASTIC Friday up in the sky we have had at Hilltop. It has been superb seeing everyone go out of their comfort zone for the final time. Y6 have really been superstars, and we have all had a fantastic week.

Currently sat on the coach about to leave Hilltop- current ETA is 3.55ish. We will let you know of any delays.
