Today we had our final OPAL accreditation and we received the highest award of platinum! 😄 This puts us in the top 1% of schools in the UK for the quality of play we provide for our children. 🏆✨

WE ARE HAVING A FAMILY PICNIC TO RAISE MONEY FOR OUR CHARITY TRUST PROJECT, TO SPONSOR A GUIDE DOG CALLED PARSNIP.

We are asking for a £2 donation for families to attend. If your child has sibling, please make one payment of £2 on the OLDEST siblings name! ALL SIBLINGS WILL BE PUT IN THE RAFFLE TO WIN PARSNIP’S FRIEND PICKLE!

ALL children must be collected by 1:30pm and there will be no after school provision. ☺️

🌞A MESSAGE ABOUT FRIDAY🌞

Dear Families,

As we are still under an Amber Weather Warning and tomorrow is going to remain extremely hot (conditions in our classrooms remain very hot and uncomfortable). We plan on continuing with the arrangement we have had in place today.

(Which is - we understand the impact the extreme weather can have on children, especially those with medical needs or complex learning needs. However, closing the school may also have a detrimental effect on some children and families. With this in mind, I will authorise any absence tomorrow and ask that you follow the usual absence procedures. In addition to this, in order to help us plan the day tomorrow, please can you confirm via Parent Pay (not because there is a charge, but we can record your 'booking') if your child will be attending or not.

If your child is in school tomorrow, we will continue to take measures to keep them safe and comfortable, with regular hydration breaks, adapting activities and using any shaded areas if we venture outside. Unfortunately, we are unable to offer any before or after school club on Friday. If you are booked on, we will issue a refund.

Thank you for your ongoing support and understanding to ensure the safety and wellbeing of our children during this extreme weather! I know you will join me in hoping that we are back to normal on Monday!

In working on our risk assessment, tomorrow is going to remain extremely hot and we will be under an amber warning; conditions in our classrooms remain very hot and uncomfortable.

Dear Families,

I am writing to let you know that as the day has progressed, our classrooms have become increasingly hot and uncomfortable. If you feel your child would be safer with you at home you are welcome to come and collect them from school from 11.45 today.

If you have paid for a lunch or have free school meals and would like to take this home with you, please reply to this message to let us know and we will get this sorted for you. If you would like to collect your child after they have eaten, you can also do this (children are usually all finished by 12.40).

If you are unable to collect your child, we completely understand and will be able to keep them safe and as cool as possible here this afternoon. There will be no after school provision.
I am working through our risk assessment process and as soon as a decision is made about tomorrow I will let you know.

☀️ IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT: Summer Fayre Cancellation ☀️

A message from the PTA:

We are incredibly sad to announce that due to the extreme heat forecast for this Friday, we have made the difficult decision to cancel our Summer Fayre.
The safety and well-being of our staff, volunteers, children, and families is always our absolute priority. With temperatures set to tip 33°C, we simply cannot safely provide the fun, comfortable afternoon we had planned for you all.
Additionally, the extreme heat means many of our outside vendors—including the bouncy castles and ice cream vans—are unable to safely operate.

Don't worry, you won't miss out on the raffle!
Where: We will be drawing the winners via a LIVE video link on the [Tower View PTFA page].
Prizes: Winners will be able to collect their prizes at home time!
We are so, so sorry to have to bring you this news, and we share in your disappointment. We want to say a massive thank you to everyone for your incredible support, donations, and hard work behind the scenes leading up to this event.

🚨SUMMER CONCERT POSTPONED🚨

Due to the current heatwave and red hot warning in place for Wednesday, we have made the decision to postpone the Summer Concert. This will now take place on Wednesday 1st July at 6pm. Further details will follow shortly.

Apologise for any inconvenience but our priority is to keep everyone safe and follow advice given.
