John Taylor MAT Exceptional Achievement Awards🏆

Last Friday, members of the Trust community came together for the Bi-Annual Exceptional Achievement awards led by Trust CEO, Mike Donoghue OBE, to celebrate 30 students from across the Trust schools.

The very deserving students were awarded certificates and badges for achievements across music, sport, performance, fundraising and success in overcoming adversity.

It was a wonderful opportunity to recognise the children's talents, achievements and resilience.

- This week, we held our annual Sports Day, and what a fantastic day it was! It was great to see students coming together, cheering each other on and taking part in some friendly competition. We are proud to be CTA, and we hope our students are proud of themselves too. Their effort, attitude and support for one another made today a real success.

- What a fantastic evening at our Year 6 Leavers’ Disco! 💃🎉 Our Year 6 pupils had an amazing time celebrating with their friends, enjoying music, dancing and making memories that will last a lifetime!

- Another incredible sports day at Mosley today! Thank you to our fabulous school community for supporting us- children you were amazing! Special shout out to Mrs Ingham for being a super PE subject leader for the last 9 years and organising sports days to be proud of!

- What a super sports morning we had! We had field and track events, parent egg and spoon races, ice lollies from Friends of Needwood to keep us cool and lots of fun had by all! A huge thank you to Mrs Pendleton who organised this event for the last time after 23 years as PE Lead!

- We were so fortunate to see our Year 11 students celebrate in style at their Prom last week. After months of hard work, revision and exams, it was finally time to relax, make memories and enjoy a well-deserved evening with friends.
We hope our Year 11s had an amazing evening and wish them every success for the future!

- A large number of Key Stage 3 students took part and staff praised their attitude and commitment across the day. The day comprised of track and field events with some excellent performances and some very close finishes.
A big congratulations to Pegasus House for their overall victory!

A great opportunity at The John Taylor SCITT for a Primary (5-11) Programme Lead, working across a wide variety of schools and delivering excellent outcomes for the next cohort of trainee teachers.

- A huge congratulations to Will in Year 7, on an outstanding achievement at the British Schools Indoor Ski Racing Championships, where he secured an incredible 2nd place!

Amazing couple of days of cricket. Our girls are into the last 16 of the country.
Yesterday we were runners up in Staffordshire to qualify us into the regional rounds. The girls stepped up and comfortably won both games today at Shrewsbury school to move into the last 16.

- What an amazing Sports Day at St Peter’s! The children had a blast, parents enjoyed fabulous refreshments from the wonderful FOSPS PTFA and it was smiles all round!

- Miss Gleeson met with Emilie, who recently competed at a national figure skating competition. We also celebrated Hollie, who was nominated for her incredible hard work and commitment. Hollie has received contract offers from Manchester United, Birmingham City FC, and Leicester City FC.

- Our Year 8 boys had an unforgettable experience at Leicester Tigers Stadium, thoroughly enjoyed every moment of the rugby tournament and representing the school brilliantly.

Whittington Primary School - Robins have loved taking part in our first enrichment activity this morning. We have been participating in animal athletics! Jumping as a frog 🐸,running as fast as a cheetah 🐆 and side walking like a crab 🦀. We can’t wait for more fun activities during the week.

National School Sports Week⛹️‍♂️

We are excited to see our schools take part in 60 active minutes a day of PE, sport or play as part of National School Sports Week!

The theme this year is 'from playgrounds to podiums' and explores how the biggest sporting moments don’t start in stadiums, they start in small, inspiring moments of play in schools, playgrounds and everyday spaces.🏆

Today, our central team, teachers, and support staff across all schools came together for our annual training day, joining both in-person and via Microsoft Teams.

It was a fantastic opportunity for our team to complete mandatory training and lead sessions sharing their expertise.
