We want to say a massive thank you to everyone who joined us for our Father’s Day Picnic!

It was so wonderful to see our community come together in the sunshine. A special shout-out goes to all the incredible dads, grandads, and uncles who came along ☀️

Ever wonder why our rooms get a little messy? It is because messy play is the ultimate way for little hands to do big learning! 🎨

Here is why we embrace the mess every single day:
👋 Fine Motor Skills: Pinching, pouring, and squeezing builds strong hand muscles for future writing.
🗣️ Language Boost: Children learn new words like squishy, sticky, cold, and smooth as they play.
💡 Problem Solving: They learn about cause and effect by filling, and mixing.
🥰 Calming & Soothing: It is a wonderful way for the children to process their emotions.

We don't see a mess at Little Monsters, we see happy children building confidence and curiosity! 🌟

We are delighted to share that Rachel has been promoted to Tweenies Room Supervisor after showing outstanding dedication and commitment to her role.

Although she will miss her lovely Preschool children, Rachel is excited to get stuck in, meet our Tweenies, and begin building strong relationships with them and their families.

💚FOOTPRINTS NEED YOUR HELP 💚

As some of you are aware, previously Catherine has volunteered at a school in Kenya & continues to support them.

The school provide some uniform for the students however rely on donations for the children and the surrounding village. A lot of the students/teachers are wearing shoes & clothes that do not fit, some shoes have two left or two right feet and are passed down from child to child. The children who do not attend a school do not have any shoes at all.

As we are coming up to the end of the school year, if you have ANY shoes or uniform that will not be worn again, we kindly ask that you bring them in for us and we can send them over. The quality of the shoes/uniform does not matter and all sizes would be hugely appreciated.

They have also kindly asked for pyjamas that are no longer needed, again any sizes/quality donations would be much appreciated.

📖 EARLY READING & WRITING ✍🏽

We promote Early reading and writing by focusing on developing a love for language, stories, and mark-making through play-based, meaningful experiences.

You can encourage your child at home by fostering a language-rich environment through daily reading, conversation, singing rhymes, and providing a variety of writing tools to encourage mark-making.

🌱EXPLORING NATURE🐌

The children have been learning through sensory experiences, developing their physical skills and understanding the world around them!

They have been:
~ Painting with conifers to create their own nature art
~ Using nature in pretend play
~ On a bug hunt
~ Experimenting with soil including digging
~ Observing minibeasts in the garden
~ Collecting sticks to build with
~ Learning to care for nature

🐛 BUTTERFLY RELEASE DAY 🦋

The children have been learning about life cycles and have helped to care for our beautiful butterfly’s and watched them transform from caterpillars to these magnificent creatures. The children were overjoyed to see their work pay off and allow themselves to witness the butterfly’s embrace the sun and fly away!
