Our work continues across North West Leicestershire schools, and as always, these impactful sessions are raising awareness where it matters most.

It’s simple – these conversations need to happen. They are a crucial part of addressing one of the most prevalent and harmful issues in the UK today. Creating safe spaces for open dialogue, education and reflection isn’t optional anymore – it’s essential.

When young people are given the opportunity to explore these topics honestly, we begin to shift thinking, challenge harmful norms, and build safer communities from the ground up.

North West Leicestershire schools receive innovative knife crime prevention initiative with Street Whyze Secondary schools across North West Leicestershire have been taught about the rising challenges of knife crime, youth violence, and harmful street culture among young people.

Mainstream schools are facing increasing levels of SEN and complex behavioural need, and it’s clear that a one size fits all approach simply doesn’t work.

At Street Whyze, we bring together specialist knowledge from a wide range of disciplines and settings, including youth work, low secure, specialist SEMH provisions, youth justice, mental health and more, to support schools in a way that is practical, relational, and impactful. We help staff better understand the nuances of behaviour, not just respond to it, embedding relational practice, delivering individualised interventions, and supporting alternative provision pathways where needed.

The result? Stronger resilience in young people, more confident staff, and schools that are better equipped to be truly inclusive. 💡

This is why our integrated model continues to add real value to the schools and communities we work with.

A very productive meeting at North West Leicestershire Council with the Safer NWLeics Partnership to learn about cutting youth violence, ASB & sexual violence + future funding.

Last night’s presentation at the BCA Community Centre provided a powerful opportunity to share the findings from our latest Youth Voice consultation on youth violence 📊🗣️

Too often, decisions are made for young people without truly including their voices, experiences, and perspectives ❗ This consultation reinforces just how important it is to listen 👂, engage 🤝 and act on what young people are telling us.

As a leading organisation working on the ground in East Staffordshire, Street Whyze presented key insights 📌 directly to members of the local authority 🏢 and our local MP 🏛️ - ensuring that the reality facing young people is heard at the highest level.

Across North West Leicestershire, our presentations on youth violence are raising real awareness and receiving strong commendations from schools 🗣️

And thanks to a successful funding bid, we’re now in a position to extend our services even further 📈

In what continues to be a challenging financial climate for the third sector and small businesses, we’re proud that Street Whyze keeps showing up and delivering for young people - where it matters most ❤️

We are delighted to share that our fully integrated Elevate Alternative Provision has officially been commissioned this week 🎉

Led by our Academic Director, Elevate has been carefully designed to meet the needs of students who would benefit from a specialist, structured and aspirational approach - removing the risk of exclusion while directly addressing underlying concerns, all without compromising positive academic outcomes 📚✨

This is NOT a standard alternative provision designed simply to contain students.
This is an outcome focused, fully accountable model built around progress, personal development and measurable impact.

We believe alternative provision should raise standards, not lower expectations. Elevate is about restoring confidence, rebuilding engagement, and ensuring young people remain on a pathway to success 🚀

It’s fantastic to be working with schools who are dynamic, forward thinking and most of all, who truly “get it” when it comes to the needs of their students. Partnerships like this make real, lasting impact possible.

We are proud to be setting a new benchmark for what high-quality alternative provision should look like.

This week marks 4 years since the establishment of Street Whyze Project CIC 🎉

From day one, my social enterprise has been built on a clear vision - to provide meaningful, relationship-led support that truly meets the needs of young people. Today, Street Whyze Project CIC continues to grow as a respected integrated school support service working across the Midlands.

The journey hasn’t been without its challenges. Sustainability within the third sector is real. Over time, Street Whyze Project CIC has learned the importance of not leaving the success and direction of the organisation solely in the hands of funders who may not fully understand our expertise, experience or the relational depth required to create genuine change. Impact cannot be reduced to a tick-box exercise.

That’s why it’s so encouraging to partner with schools who recognise the value of what Street Whyze Project CIC delivers — schools who see the outcomes firsthand and know that this work WORKS. 💬 When partnerships are built on understanding and trust, sustainable impact becomes possible.

Over the past four years, Street Whyze Project CIC has continued to deliver:

🔹 1:1 Assisting Relationships - consistent, tailored support for those with unmet needs
🔹 Targeted group interventions - structured spaces for accountability, reflection and growth
🔹 Awareness presentations - addressing youth violence, equality, substance misuse and community cohesion

✔️ Provided targeted, one-to-one support to over 30 individual students
✔️ Supported partner schools with quality assurance of alternative provision
✔️ Strengthened community engagement projects
✔️ Designed and launched our own outcomes-driven alternative provision model
✔️ Amplified young people’s voices through our new youth voice violence prevention project

Every conversation, every session and every partnership is about raising standards, challenging harmful narratives, and helping young people see wider possibilities for their futures. This work is demanding, often unseen, but always driven by purpose and integrity 💡🤝
