🎶 Fountains Signing Choir Visit Fairmeadows Primary School🎶

We were delighted to take our Fountains Signing Choir to Fairmeadows Primary School in Newhall for a fantastic visit! The choir performed a selection of popular songs using Makaton signs, showcasing how music and communication can come together in a truly inclusive way.

The pupils were amazing, full of enthusiasm and eager to get involved as they learnt some Makaton signs themselves. It was wonderful to see so many smiling faces joining in and building confidence in using sign-supported communication.

A big thank you to Fairmeadows for such a warm welcome, we loved sharing our passion for signing and can’t wait to visit again!

🌿 Mental Health Awareness Week at Fountains High School 🌿

At Fountains High School, we know that mental health is just as important as physical health. 💚

We’ve been recognising the importance of wellbeing, kindness, support, and taking time to check in with ourselves and others. Whether it’s through conversations, creativity, time outdoors, or simply supporting one another day-to-day, every small step matters.

As part of Mental Health Awareness Week, 4M2 and Rise enjoyed going out for lunch together, a great opportunity to relax, socialise, and spend quality time outside of the classroom environment. 🍽️✨

Students also took part in *“Hope”*, a powerful anti-bullying drama production by Theatre Online Ltd, exploring the impact bullying can have on young people and highlighting the importance of kindness, understanding, and speaking up.

We’re proud to be part of a school community where students and staff are encouraged to speak openly, seek support, and look after their wellbeing together.

Remember:
✨ It’s okay to not be okay.
✨ You are never alone.
✨ Support is always available.

Our KS4 students had an amazing time at Standon Bowers Outdoor Education Centre! 🌿

Throughout their residential, students took part in a range of exciting activities including archery, low ropes, axe throwing, high ropes, rifle shooting, and wall climbing. Each challenge allowed them to build confidence, develop teamwork, and try something new in a supportive environment.

Even the staff got involved, joining in with the activities and encouraging students every step of the way, helping to create a fun, positive atmosphere for everyone!

It’s been fantastic to see students stepping out of their comfort zones, supporting one another, and making lasting memories along the way. We are incredibly proud of everything they have achieved!
