We are deeply saddened to hear of the passing of Her Majesty, Queen Elizabeth II.
Our thoughts and prayers are with the Royal Family at this sad time. Her Majesty will forever be remembered for a life of duty, dedication and public service.

BSDC Nursery look forward to welcoming back all our children and hearing about your fantastic summer holidays .

Induction days are taking place on the 31st August , 1st September and 2nd September, 9:30-3:30.
Induction days are for parents and children to come and see the nursery, meet our wonderful team and fill out paperwork .

Hello!! My name is Whitney .
I am the Nursery deputy manager and SENCO
I’ve worked here from 2018 and l began my journey with the nursery as a nursery practitioner, I then became preschool supervisor and now promoted to nursery deputy manager
I currently hold a BA Honours Level 6 in early years.
I have 1 boy of my own who is three years old.

Hello!! My name is Christina aka Nina for the children.
I am the Nursery manager.
I’ve worked here from 2010 until 2016, had a break for a new adventure then came back in 2018 as a supervisor, then was promoted to be the deputy manager and now manager.
I currently hold a BA Honours Level 6 in early years.
I have 2 boys of my own ages 1 year’s old and a 4 year old.

Welcome to the Preschool Room!
Here at the BSDC Nursery, our Preschool provision is for children aged 3-4 years old, within the Preschool room we provide an enjoyable, challenging and independent environment to support all children’s holistic development, to strengthen their independence and to begin to help children’s school readiness.
Throughout the Preschool room we extend children’s knowledge around how we are feeling and emotions we are showing, we encourage children to face challenges, working with them to extend and solidify their independent. We help the children learn and grow achieving many new skills which will all play an important role within their school readiness. We support children in building strong friendship and having lots of fun during their last years at nursery.

Welcome to the Tweenie Room!
Here at the BSDC Nursery, our Tweenie room provision is for children aged 2-3 years old, within the Tweenie room we provide a stimulating, enjoyable and challenging environment to support all children’s holistic development.
Throughout the Tweenie room we begin to help children understand and explain their basic feelings and emotions, we encourage children to begin to face challenges and begin to explore out of their comfort zone. We also help child extend their play opportunities by helping them strengthen their self-confidence and self-awareness in order to build friendships and join or lead play. We begin to focus our activities on numbers, shapes and jolly phonics adding these into all our wonderful activities.

Welcome to the Toddler Room!
Here at the BSDC Nursery, our Toddler room provision is for children aged 1-2 years old, within the Toddler room we provide a stimulating and exciting environment to support all children’s holistic development.
Within the toddler room, we help your child extend and develop their imagination and help them to learn and understand play. This also encourages building friendships, extending vocabulary, finding independence and creates brilliant steppingstones for holistic development for each individual child.
Our Toddler room team is made up of :

Welcome to the Baby Room!
Here at the BSDC Nursery, our Baby room provision is for children aged 6 weeks old to 1 years old, within the baby room we provide a calm, soothing and homely environment in order to ensure your children can feel at ease and safe within our setting.
We work with your babies to help develop all their vital first year skills, creating stimulating and exciting activities adapted to each individual’s needs and abilities.
Our Baby room team is made up of:
- Isabella (Izzy) , Baby room supervisor
- Michelle, Nursery Practitioner
- Deborah (Deb) , Nursery Practitioner

Burton and South Derbyshire College’s Nursery offers warm and welcoming care for children aged 6 weeks to 4 years old.

Our setting is made of four individual rooms which are set up daily to excite and engage your children, helping them to learn and develop through play and interaction.

Room 1 - Baby Room (Age 6 weeks old to 1 year old)

Room 2 - Toddler Room (Age 1 year old to 2 years old)

Room 3 - Tweenie Room (Age 2 years old to 3 years old)

Room 4 - Pre-school Room (Age 3 years old to 4 years old)

Our fantastic team work hard to ensure every child within the nursery is given equal opportunities to join in with the nursery’s daily routine and the activities provided, including craft and messy activities, circle time and singing, construction and imaginative play and a wide range of other fun and exciting activity experiences.

Here within our setting, we also offer an open-door policy for parents to ensure we keep up our excellent parent partnership, giving parents and carers the opportunity to keep up to date on the development of their children. This gives parents the option to see the activities their children are engaging in and builds strong relationship between staff and parents.
