Introducing our new OPAL Ambassadors! ⭐️

We are delighted to announce that we have recruited 35 OPAL Ambassadors for this academic year! 🎉

We received an amazing 65 applications from across the school, and we were so impressed by the enthusiasm, ideas and commitment shown by every pupil who applied. It was wonderful to see so many children wanting to take an active role in making our OPAL playtimes the very best they can be. 💚

Our new Ambassadors will be split into five different coloured teams, with a wonderful mixture of age groups. They will be fantastic role models across our playground and will help to:

🛝 Encourage fun, happy and inclusive OPAL play at lunchtime

🌿 Help to keep our outdoor spaces clean, safe and tidy

📸 Take photographs of brilliant OPAL play to share in our assemblies

🎤 Contribute to OPAL Assemblies

🥾 Present our Golden Wellie Award and celebrate children who are showing fantastic OPAL values

Our OPAL Ambassadors will be visible to all when on duty in their orange bands! 🧡
These pupils will be additional role models for outdoor learning; they will be the students that other children can go to for help, support, ideas or encouragement during playtimes.

👏 A huge congratulations to all 35 of our OPAL Ambassadors! You should all be incredibly proud of yourselves.

We are so excited to see you take on your new roles and responsibilities, and we can't wait to work with you throughout the coming academic year. We look forward to seeing you all for our next meeting after our next OPAL Assembly!

We have made it to our first activity of our final day!! We have managed to clear our rooms (which was perhaps the biggest challenge so far!! 😆) and after another delicious breakfast, we have headed off to sailing, climbing and challenge courses 🚣🏿‍♀️🧗‍♀️ We are definitely making the most of every moment!! 💪🏻

What a busy but beautiful day so far at WML!! It has been a very hot and sunny day but the children have loved getting out on the water and splashing around in the lake 💦 For after dinner, the boys have devised a chess tournament and the girls are already planning a pamper evening 💕 Lots of smiles & laughter … lots of memories made 🫶🏻

We are all up and ready for action again this morning 🚣🏿‍♀️ We are about to head to breakfast 🍳 then some groups are sailing and others are zip wiring! Later today, canoeing and raft building!! An exciting day ahead 😍
