☀️SUMMER FAYRE☀️

We just wanted to say a massive thank you to everyone who came along to our Summer Fayre! 🥰

We had such a lovely time celebrating with you all yesterday and we hope you had just as much fun! From the face painting to the tombola, it was so wonderful to see our nursery community come together. 🌸🎉

We’re so proud to share that, thanks to everyone’s support and generosity, we were able to raise over £200 for the The Harley Jae Trust, our company’s chosen charity. 💕✨

Every donation, purchase and bit of support made a difference today, so thank you for helping us make the day such a success!

🦁LION DAY🦁

Our Butterflies have had lots of fun celebrating Lion Day today! 💛

We headed out into the garden to see what we could find on a leaf hunt, collecting lots of different leaves. We then used our treasures to make some beautiful lion manes! 🍃🦁

The children loved choosing their leaves and seeing how they could turn them into something so creative. This activity that got us exploring nature, talking about what we could see and getting creative together! 🌿💛

We think our lions look pretty ROAR-some! 🦁✨

🌳 FOREST SCHOOL FUN 🌳

Our Wise Owls have had a fantastic time exploring Toad Wood this week with Suzie, our Outdoor Curriculum Lead! The children loved building dens, searching for beautiful flowers and going on exciting bug hunts, experiencing all kinds of learning opportunities that nature has to offer. 🐞

Suzie has also been working alongside our team, sharing her valuable Forest School knowledge and experience to further develop our outdoor provision and inspire exciting learning experiences for all of our children. 🌺

🐑FARMYARD FUN🐄

Blossoms have been busy little farmers this week as we’ve explored life on the farm! 🐮🚜

The children loved getting hands-on by making our farm animals nice and mucky using different textured cereals before using sponges and cloths to scrub them clean! 🧼✨

This fun sensory activity encouraged lots of curiosity while supporting fine motor development, problem-solving skills, and hand-eye coordination. What a fantastic week so far! 🌟

✨ STAFF MEETING ✨

Tonight, our team came together to reflect on our practice, discussing how we can continue to strengthen our provision, particularly through inclusive EYPP and SEND support for our key children. We also reviewed our room development priorities as part of our commitment to continuous improvement.

🚒 FIREFIGHTER VISIT 🚒

Our Preschool children had a fantastic time welcoming Staffordshire Fire and Rescue Service to nursery today for a fun fire safety session.

The children enjoyed taking part in lots of exciting activities, including singing songs, joining in with action rhymes, dressing up in firefighter clothing and sharing the story of ‘Noisy’ the Fire Alarm. 📚👨‍🚒

They learnt some incredibly important fire safety skills, including what to do if their clothes ever caught fire by remembering to Stop, Drop and Roll, and when it is appropriate to call 999 in a fire emergency. We also discovered that there are different types of fire alarms available to support people with hearing loss, vision loss, or both, helping to keep everyone safe.

After the visit, the learning continued as the children set off on a fire alarm scavenger hunt around the nursery, spotting all the fire alarms they could find! 🚨🔎

A huge thank you to Staffordshire Fire and Rescue Service for taking the time to visit us and for teaching the children such valuable life skills in such an engaging and memorable way. We are so grateful for your support in helping our children stay safe! ❤️🚒

🫧 BUBBLE FUN🫧

Today, our Wise Owls had a fantastic time in the garden making their very own bubbles! 🌞

The children explored how to make a bubble solution by mixing dish soap and water before getting creative and designing their own bubble wands using pipe cleaners. They loved testing their wands to see who could make the biggest and most bubbles!

Once our bubbles were floating through the garden, everyone enjoyed chasing them, popping them, and practising their counting skills as we counted how many bubbles we could pop. This fun activity encouraged creativity, early science, fine motor skills, and number recognition—all whilst enjoying the fresh air and sunshine! 🫧💙

👩🏽‍🎓 GRADUATION 👨🏼‍🎓

Today we celebrated our wonderful Preschool Graduation! 🎉

We are so proud of all our children and everything they have achieved during their time with us. It has been a joy to watch them grow, learn and make lasting friendships 🎓
