♻️ RECYCLED CONSTRUCTION 🚧

What a fantastic time we’ve had in our construction area today in the Butterfly room! 🦺✨

Using recycled materials such as cereal boxes, cake trays and milk jugs, the children put their creativity to the test by designing and building their very own towers, houses and unique creations! 🏠♻️

This exciting activity linked back to our book from last term, where we explored the importance of recycling, tidying up after ourselves and putting our rubbish in the bin to help look after our environment. 🗑️🌍💚

The children showed wonderful imagination, problem-solving and balancing skills as they carefully built their amazing masterpieces. Well done, Butterflies! 🌟🦋

🦷 SPECIAL VISITOR 🦷

Our preschoolers enjoyed a special visit from one of our dental worker parents, who taught them all about the importance of oral hygiene. 🪥

The children learned valuable skills and information to help keep their teeth healthy at home. This will be an ongoing topic in preschool as we continue to encourage healthy habits and positive oral health from an early age. 🦷

The children were all very engaged and listened very carefully to all of the information given! 🧠

We are SO proud of our lovely cook Sheri, who has just received a fantastic 5/5 rating following our Environmental Health inspection! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Sheri works incredibly hard every day, and anyone who knows her will know just how much care and love goes into everything she does.

🍃 OUTDOOR IMAGINATION 🍃

Today in our Toad Wood Garden, the Wise Owls children have been busy using their imaginations and teamwork skills to build wonderful houses and dens using plastic crates, wooden cogs, and wooden beams. 🌿🦉

The children explored different ways to balance, connect, and create their structures, showing fantastic problem-solving, communication, and creativity throughout their play. It was lovely to see their ideas come to life as they worked together to design cosy spaces for role play and adventure in the garden. 🏡

Outdoor play provides so many opportunities for learning, and today’s den building sparked curiosity, collaboration, and lots of smiles!

🏫 SCHOOL READINESS 🏫

The UK Government’s new Best Start in Life guidance reminds us that being “school ready” isn’t about knowing letters and numbers — it’s about building confidence, independence, communication and emotional wellbeing through everyday moments 💛

From learning to share and take turns, to putting on coats, washing hands and expressing feelings, every small step matters 🌱

At nursery, we’re proud to support children through play, exploration and nurturing relationships — helping every child grow at their own pace and feel confident for their next big adventure 🎒✨

🐛 INSECT DRAWING 🐜

Today in our Butterfly Room, the children explored one of our lovely new books and got creative by drawing their own bugs! 🐞

We talked about how our bodies can be drawn as circles and our legs as lines, and the children did a fantastic job bringing their ideas to life on paper. It was wonderful to see their imagination and understanding grow as they worked.
