It’s been a few weeks since our last end of week round up but we return today.

It won’t be long now - next Thursday. We cannot wait to see our students and welcome them back - school has been hard at work over the summer on some exciting projects 🏫

Remember, our students belong here— they are valued, supported and an important part of our community. We wish everyone a wonderful year filled with Kindness, Respect and Ambition. 📚💛

Yesterday, at around 3.30pm, parents were sent a letter with some key information to support a successful return to school and 2026-2027.

Day 2 of Summer School 2026 has been first class! Our new Year 7s threw themselves into a packed day of teamwork, creativity and big thinking! 🧠🧐

We kicked off with brilliant team building activities delivered by our friends at West Lancs Sport Partnership, helping students build confidence and new friendships 🤼‍♂️🤾🏼‍♂️🥏

Students then rotated through a range of sessions including:
🔧 Designing and making their DT Keyring block
🚤 Engineering tin foil boats in Science to hold as much weight as possible
✉️ Writing a thoughtful letter to their future self
🧭 Exploring ethics and morals through discussion and real life scenarios

A huge well done to all students for their enthusiasm and positivity. The next chapter has started 💪🏼

We have had a lovely morning celebrating with the Class of 2026 🤩 There were plenty of nerves, smiles and tears of joy - it was so great to see them again. Great scholars but even better young people.

Their hard work has paid off and we are delighted that they have their golden ticket for their next step. A Levels across the subject range to Animal Care, from Plumbing to Engineering and Childcare - they cover the full range. The future is very very bright 💫

Thank you to all of the staff at BPA and the parents of Year 11 who have worked tirelessly for another set of consistently great results.
