Grab a brew ☕️and a snack 🍪, this is a long one..

As most of you are aware our family is due to grow within the next 4 weeks 👶🏻 (I know, its come around rather quickly). Only a few months into this pregnancy, we decided as a family that I would not give myself a deadline to return to work after baby girl had arrived. This decision was hard but definitely felt like the right one for us as a family. So as of this Friday, I will be closing my childminding doors permanently 😪

I started my childminding journey to allow me to be involved with Evan's early years as well as a way for me to still bring in a wage and it was the perfect decision for us at that time. Over the last few years we have welcomed lots of beautiful, loving families into our home. Some of these families have returned with younger siblings, become godchildren of mine, came back for before and after school fun or just become stuck with us as close friends (Even Craig, apologies 😆).

The support I have received throughout my entire journey has been nothing but amazing ranging from ex colleagues, local childminders, friends and family and not forgetting my own early years teachers from 30 years ago who are always my cheerleaders! Sorry ladies, I'm telling the world your age brackets 🤣 and it's definitely not gone unnoticed! I've ran my buisness single handedly creating all my own policies and procedures, contracts and getting through my first ever Ofsted inspection as the lady in charge! I'm nothing but proud of my achievements and will always blow my own trumpet about Cheeky Cherubs Childminding BUT I am excited to see what the future may hold and the fact that I get to enjoy 'maternity leave' with no pressure to return to work. Over the last few weeks, most of my children have been slowly leaving to start their new journeys at alternative childcare settings and I have been checking in the see how they are getting on. Of course, because they are all confident little superstars, they are doing great! Which has made my guilt ease a little ❤️

So, here's to my last week of being an Ofsted Registered Childminder 🥂 ( This is Nosecco btw) ❤️

When Tim comes to clean our car, the children are fascinated. Pull up a chair, grab our snacks and sit and watch the process from the warmth of the playroom! 🚗💧

When it's a little too cold to head out to play in the snow, we bring it indoors.. and add some of our snowy animals ❄️

Happy New Year to all of my families and followers 🥳

I can only apologise for our extreme quietness on the social media side of our adventures here and although we have been busy day to day, our adventures have been limited over the last few months due to me not feeling the best. I plan on keeping you all up to date with our new year adventures now I'm feeling much more human like 🙃

Now that all of our families and friends know, I thought I should share our news with you all too!
Our family will be growing by 2 tiny feet come May 2024 🎀. We are so grateful and excited and would like to thank you all for your support over the last few months.

Wow! What a super busy full week we've had!

We have welcomed in two new children and their families this week and it's safe to say they have settled in perfectly.

Myself and our current children have welcomed them in with open arms, lots of toys and helped them settle in beautifully. It's been so lovely to see relationships being established.

The children this week have been learning about oral care and hygiene and will have come home with a little goody bag, which I hope comes supports you all at home continuing to practice good oral care.

Although we have spent alot of time indoors this week to try and get to know one another before we head out on our usual adventures, the children have played beautifully and supported one another where needed.

Have a lovely weekend and we shall see you all again next week 🌈

🦷Looking after children’s oral health 🦷

There are several key steps practitioners, parents and carers can take to promote good oral health in children.

This week me and the children will be looking at how to take care of our teeth and general good oral health 🪥

The children will be practising their teeth brushing skills on our mouth model using a toothbrush, water and a 2 minute timer ⏳️

We have our own little Tooth fairy in setting who will be judging the children's efforts and rewarding them with some lovely stickers ✨️
