We are Amused - Art Studio The Kings Theatre Kirkcaldy

Please note, I don’t really use this page anymore. If you would like more info about We are Amused please follow me on Instagram Thank you. ❤️

Next up is Susan @weramused -

Susan’s work is a mix of digital collage and typography. She uses song lyrics, word play & personal affirmations as inspiration to create Ltd edition Art Prints.

Susan jumped on the Instagram train back in 2016 and ‘popped up’ with her wares in the most ‘instagramble’ homes throughout the UK, most notably @_lisa_dawson_ , a writer and content creator based in York.

Her ‘This must be the Place’ print was the first of its kind and her most popular print to date. Collaborating with @bagandbones she reimagined the work and created a one off in neon which now resides at @bursandshotel

Locally she is best known for her ‘It’s not Burnt and it’s not an Island’ print which she sells exclusively at @bel.etta on Burntisland high street.

Susan joined the artists at the Kings just over a year ago and has enjoyed feeling a sense of home here.
A Kirkcaldy lass herself who has fond memories of the building having rehearsed and performed with @kirkcaldyyouthmusictheatre throughout her school years. She has taken inspiration from these roots and now creates Special Editions prints only as an aid to keep producing new works and limiting the number of each work produced making a purchase more exclusive to her customers.

Susan believes with the backing from the trustee’s, staff and event organisers together with the support from local patrons the King’s is already a beacon of creativity within the town with scope for offering even more.

Give us a follow to keep in the loop with exhibitions, workshops and other exciting updates related to our artists.

‘The Alchemical Goddess is a Divine Feminine archetype of celebration, change, transformation and availability’ - Thanks to everyone that popped in last night.
