📣 Exciting news!! Brand- New Baby Unit opening September 2026!!

We have a brand-new building opening from September offering term-time childcare for babies from 9months old.

We are so excited to welcome Deanne to the team, our new Baby Unit Nursery Manager:

“A Little About Me:

My name is Deanne and I hold a Foundation Degree in Children Young People and Their services. I have over 22 years early years experience which I primarily spent working with children aged 0-2 years old. I’m so excited to be joining the Go Outdoors team and getting to know you and your wonderful children.

Working with young children is something I genuinely enjoy. I love seeing their curiosity, creativity, and confidence grow as they learn through play and everyday experiences. I believe every child is unique and deserves to feel safe, valued, and encouraged to be themselves.

My approach is to build strong, trusting relationships with both children and their families. I understand how important it is to know your child is happy, cared for, and supported while they’re at nursery. I aim to create a warm, nurturing environment where children can explore, learn, and have fun.

Outside of work I enjoy spending time with my family especially my partner and our 3 children, travelling in our motorhome, reading, music, walking and exploring new places. I enjoy maintaining an active lifestyle and value opportunities for continued personal and professional development.

I’m looking forward to meeting you all, getting to know your children, and working together to help them have a happy, positive, and exciting early years experience.”

Feeling very proud of our sister setting Knight Hill Day Nursery for achieving such a fabulous & STRONG first Ofsted report 🥰

We’re delighted to share our Ofsted report, published recently, as we conclude another academic year. We’re incredibly proud of our team and their daily hard work.
We’ve achieved a Strong Standard in Behaviour, Attitudes and Establishing Routines, along with Inclusion.

Some highlights include:
- Relationships between staff and children are warm, caring and highly respectful
- There are very clear expectations for behaviour at the nursery, which all children understand.
- Leaders and staff know the children very well.
- Children are supported and encouraged to be as independent as possible… This means they are well prepared for their next steps, such as starting school.
- Children who face barriers in their learning are settled and able to learn because routines and expectations are predictable.
- Staff support children to recognise and express their emotions.
- Overall, children are well supported to develop an understanding of how to be healthy and safe.
- Leaders are reflective, knowledgeable and ambitious for the nursery, staff and children.
- Leaders are highly committed to continually improving what the nursery offers to children and families.
- Staff report that they are well supported by leaders who genuinely care about them.
- Staff are full of praise for their efforts. This demonstrates the respectful relationships among staff and children.

Tomorrow the last day of term, nursery closes at the usual time. The team at Go Outdoors would like to wish everyone a fabulous summer break and for those returning we open 7th September. Those that are leaving us 😢 good luck in your new school and don't forget to send us a photo in your new uniform.

Graduation 2026 - What an amazing day! The sun shone (lots) it snowed (quite a bit) and we had so much fun. Thank you to Andrea from The Little Party People Limited for providing endless fun, Dj Mama and Dj Bov for playing the best songs and everyone else for just being there. Dont forget fun sports games afternoon this Wednesday 1.30-3pm

A huge thank you to all our children and parents for such a wonderful (hot) graduation. The staff had a great day especially Donna Wilkinson but we all know why that is!!! Any photos John has taken will be emailed out over the next few weeks. Let's enjoy the last week of term and Fun sports games day on Wednesday.

The staff at Go outdoors have been really spoilt today. A lovely end of an era treat after looking after 3 amazing children! A huge thank you to the Butterworth family for our dinner time treat. It has been an absolute pleasure and hope to see you all again very soon.
