Toddlers exploring the seaside πβ
This week, our toddlers have been talking all about the beach and what we might see or do when we visit.
The children have been discussing different creatures that may live at the beach and thinking about whether we would find them on the sand or in the sea.
As part of their learning, the toddlers created their own starfish using bubble painting. They explored how to make bubbles on the star shape, carefully pressed them onto the paper and talked about how many legs a starfish has.
This activity encouraged lots of lovely learning, including:
β Fine motor skills
π Colour and shape recognition
π£οΈ Communication and language
π Perseverance and problem solving
π Learning about the world around us
The children sometimes found it tricky to press the star shape without popping the bubbles, but they kept trying and were very proud of their starfish creations.
A lovely seaside-themed activity full of curiosity, creativity and learning through play. π
