💜 A reminder that we are now CLOSED for half term! 💜

We are currently enjoying a much needed family holiday in beautiful Mallorca!! ☀️🏝️

🌟 We re-open on Sunday 31st May for our junior & senior show rehearsals and from Monday 1st June for our weekly classes! 🌟

We hope you’re all enjoying the sunshine and that our fabulous tutors enjoy some wonderful time off after a very busy April/May term with our showcase and exams!! 💜

🌟 Another of our amazing students success stories with their theatre school auditions!

🤩 Katie has been with us over 7 years and is one of our day one students!! She came through our doors on our first day of classes small but mighty and has worked daftly hard ever since!! She has had an amazing journey with us at Act One and we’ve seen each other through some difficult times and my days has she done herself and us immensely proud 🥰🥰

Adamant from the start that she wanted to sing sing sing …… she became one of the first of our students to have singing lessons with Miss Leanne and had the confidence to belt out a tune from the off!!! Miss Katy has also taught Katie for the past few years and listening to her develop her tool and her technique has been beautiful to watch!!

💜 We will miss seeing you every Monday for your solo lessons with you very much and your presence at Act One will be much missed - but we are so, so proud of you and cannot wait to see you shine in the next step on your journey!!!

My days my heart is going to hurt this Summer!!!

🌟 Katie’s journey with Act One in her own words …….

I don’t even know where to begin!

After auditioning 8 years ago at Britains got talent and getting turned away because of my lack of confidence, shortly after Act one took me in their wing. From walking in the very first day to where I am now I am definitely a completly different performer with different goals in life.

I walked in through those doors at Greenbrook really wanting to be a pop star. Though the years doing musical theatre with a wonderful bunch I have grown to love it. I was never much of a dancer or an actor or a singer at the start but as I have stuck with my singing lessons and group lessons I have grown so much.

I struggled a lot with my confidence at one point during these years, but it only took a few lessons to realise I have so much support around me. So here’s a HUGE Thankyouu to Act one beginners and especially Leanne Wharf for teaching me what I love most. It’s very sad to say I’m leaving however…. I am now in September studying musical theatre at York St John’s university with my unconditional offer and I couldn’t have done it without the support and love💜

We love you Katie and can’t to see what lies ahead for you # # #

Having watched the show twice, I can say it's a wild and crazy show full of laughter and epic vocals, especially from you know who!

The Wharf family are then heading to Majorca on Monday for some sunshine ☀️, family time and good times, while our incredible team of teachers continue to hold the fort in our absence. We are truly lucky to have such an epic team! ⭐

🌟Parker attends our Saturday morning classes and just performed his first showcase with us at the fabulous Life Church venue ….. and now …..

He’s off to perform at The Lowry in pre recorded elements of the brand new “Bank of Dave” musical that opens this Saturday!!!

He is playing Dave’s younger self …. And just so happens to be his Grandson 🥰
