We were proud to bring together local young people, community leaders, and academia to discuss career changes, higher education pathways, and the support available for those looking to build a brighter future.

A huge thank you to local councillor and academic Nuzhat Kazmi for joining the discussion and sharing valuable insight on education, progression, and opportunities available within our communities. We would like to extend our thank you to ex MP Gordon Birtwistle came to support a young fresh engineer graduate too.

Building confidence step by step 💜

In our second Vinted session, the ladies took things further—learning how to take clear, high-quality photos, upload items, and add the right details to create their listings. They also explored browsing the app and even practised making offers on items.

These practical digital skills are a big boost for independence and employability, while the sessions continue to provide a welcoming space to connect, share, and support one another.

Our first session introducing the ladies to the Vinted app was a hit! - with the ladies learning the many benefits of this app, signing up and taking their first step into digital skills….coming together created a supportive space to socialise, share experiences, and boost mental wellbeing.

Moments like these reduce isolation, build confidence, and remind everyone they’re not alone on their journey.

We had 20 ladies joining us on this new venture.
